Informed Interrogation Approach (found in the Army Field Manual) has been used for decades & has proven to work quickly & effectively, & is far more reliable than torture techniques such as waterboarding. The approach (derived from the cumulative experiences, wisdom, & successes of operatives in the military, intelligence, & law enforcement community) works by outsmarting, outwitting, and manipulating the detainee. It doesn't involve giving them tea & crumpets & playing nice :)

If a suspected terrorist has information that would lead to the prevention of American lives being lost then, in my opinion, torture is perfectly acceptable. I would rather one suspected terrorist be killed than one American.

Yes, you justify torture. So do the terrorists and there supporters. How many other commonalities do you share?
