ACTH is $23,000 a vial, One vial last 5 days, That means it cost $138,000 for ONE month. Or $4,600 a day. The usual protocol is for about two months, the cost for two months is $277,600!!! Sometimes babies have to be on this protocol twice in one year this makes the cost $555,200!!! My son was on this drug many years ago, and I thought the $800 a vial was outrageous! We NEED pharmaceutical price control in this country.
