The stupid thing about it was that that canceled the show because they felt it appealed more to girls than guys despite having stellar ratings, but know "VicTORIous" is on 10 years later. IT'S THE SAME DAMN SHOW, but with a different girl and a new storyline. I loved Taina on Nickelodeon and it was a great show.

Odee this show was one of the few hispanic shows on tv (Taina, The Brothers Garcia, George Lopez and now Ugly Betty) they should've never cancelled it. I had several region free dvd players, which could play the dvd, but the picture didn't show, it was scrambled. All I heard was audio.

I was told by the company that I needed a TV that could show foreign dvds. Apparently things are much different in other countries, all electronics aren't made the same as the US.

According to my friend's dad who used to work for Nick, Taina was a smash hit. The true fact is that about twice as many girls was watching as guys ( I'm a guy and I watched it.) It also cost too much to produce one episode. Some episodes would cost as much as $750,000 to $1 million (sets, actors, extras, crew)

Scripts were written for a third season, but it was halted.

I agree with most people, had Taina been on Disney, it would probably have lasted another season, at least.

I LOVED this show when it primered on Nick. (Even though I was a guy, and no I'm not gay.) It was a great look at High School/Latino life and it was awesome with every episode.

Not to mention, Taina inspired me in Spanish Class. (I'm fluent now.)

the show ratings were grabbing mostly girls, i would assume it was low, and Nick dropped it. A LOT of networks want more Male ratings than female

Actually, it was a hit show. The ratings were good but Nick cancelled it. Not only because they thought it didn't pull in male viewers but also because it became too expensive for Nick to produce. Had it been on Disney channel, it would have lasted longer and had more publicity because Disney has more money.
