  • study bibles are great, but a software that can give you easy access to any text, and even view pictures of manuscripts and landscapes is better because then you get a better look at the bible and the context surrounding them, its much more to easy to use than a regular leather bound bible.

  • Considering Satan uses technology to get people to do what he wants them to, there is no shame in fighting fire with fire here. Evil is very proactiv. Christians need to be just as proactiv at getting the word of God to everyone they can.

  • *sigh* They sure are pushing the envelope technology-wise, and some of the stuff on there is very interesting to look at, like the inside of the temple basement. But do they have to push the "experience" so much? Christians are trying to get away from sensuality, and it's hard enough in this world, especially when you keep saying things like "it just feels right" and show smoking hot pictures of blondes (see 2:11). Would it kill them to show normal unattractive Christians?

  • i'd blame advertising for that...

but then again everything happens according to The Lord's will...

  • Just got the Glo Bible loaded on my laptop this weekend. Love how easy it is to read the Bible and quickly find answers to what I'm looking for. Photos and virtual tours are amazing!

  • This is such a great tool for studying the Bible. I love the artwork and the virtual tours of places I may never get to travel to see in person. All focused on the Word of God. It really helps to see actual places and see how places and events relate to each other. Thanks for doing this.

  • This is definitely a cool way to approach organizing the Bible. I could imagine all sorts of ways to use this.

  • I really like the Glo Bible, I just bought it a week ago, and, although it runs a little slow, it is a great bible study tool! I love it!

  • Jeremiah 19

9 And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons & the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them

    Isaiah 49

26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; & they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: & all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob

  • (Luke 14)

25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

  • NotTooObvious, Thanks for replying.

  • (Exodus 12)

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.

  • 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

  • i know for a fact they are going to leave stuff out of the bible or change it. because we all know the fastest way to create an atheist is have them read the bible.

  • What have you left out?

  • (Matthew 10)

34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

  • NotTooObvious, what are their lies?

  • (Leviticus 26)

    27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;

28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

  • What a load of old shit! 'You don't just read it - you get it!'. It's like the church are desperate to make the bible and god's word more appealing to the younger generations.

  • the interface on this looks amazing, very impressive work

  • beautiful interface, kudos to the developers.

    crappy content though

  • Is that an educated conclusion, or an ignorant assumption about the content?

  • Fusion of Chromosomes still happen today resulting in things like infertility and often other abnormalities, and these are often not seen associated with any symptoms. However Humans are clearly distinct from other animals in cognitive and language ability as well. Also...we still have monkeys today, the same as many other historical animals.

  • Dolphins, and many mammals have advanced cognitive ability and language.

  • Visually, it is very impressive though...

  • So, this is running on a computer? I though it was a portable media bible. Like a bible ipod. I'd buy that! But this doesn't seem to have anything I need that much, I already have a bible program and it works just fine.

And to all you who are arguing, take it somewhere else, we're supposed to be discussing this product. I hate how most religious video end up having debates in the comments!

  • As soon as its out i'm getting it on bittorrent! Afterall, shouldn't Gods word be free for all? Thank God for internet piracy!

  • "Then Jesus said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's." And they were amazed at him.

  • Kinda cool?! No. Just no.

  • Stop watching after "God's words".

  • there is no god.

  • TopRobRoy, do you really think the monkey argument is a good one?

Google 'Chromosome #2' and dive into the real world.

  • There is no god, just reality. We have to make the most of what we really have - the material universe!

  • Let me guess, you are american? Dear lord I pity you people!

  • Rlugg, nope. Born and bred in the three counties. Just because our country is becoming a godless dump doesn't mean all its people are like-minded.

That's what I like about America - the people's passion for life, independence from government, freedom, the Constitution and love of God. Compare that to Britain - depressing, gloomy, socialist, slaves to the government and atheist.

  • The three counties, I take it you mean the north of Eire which is currently occupied by British Imperialists. I might have guessed you'd be a unionist, truly the most degenerate and lumpen vermin on the face of the earth. I look forwards to the day when Ireland is united!

Your vision of the USA, just like your view of socialism (Britain socialist? what planet are you living on?!?!) is based upon the backwards prejudices and dogma with which you have been brainwashed from the pulpit.

  • Any reference for anything you say?

  • Hi Georgiy. As you are an Atheist Secular Humanist, I'm sure you'll have strong views on this, and I would like to say that I'm not out to change your views which I wholly respect. However to answer your question, I found it out when "olason" said to Google 'Chromosome #2". Apart from all that, I've seen monkeys in the zoo and in the wild. I'm not a Scientist or a highly intellectual being, so I will openly say that and would probably not give you the dialog you perhaps seek.

  • I was replying to Bezwaar123.

  • Face it, reading through the Bible is tedious, throw in a concordance, a Hebrew and Greek dictionary, a commentary, and a few other books and even someone who has more than a 5 second attention span is going to give up on it. Yes, GLO does have a high "shiny" factor, but I like that it seems to link a range of material together in a quickly accessible intuitive interface...I would be tempted to use it as a teaching or presentation aid more than as a personal study program.

  • Nice shot of the reader with his laptop at the laundromat! Ahluvett!

  • Not another program!! So go buy the bare bones and then pay 100s for plug-ins. Which are mostly public domain texts that are free anyways with a few "notes" added so they can charge outrageous prices. Chaaaching...Thank-You Jesus...I give you hundreds instead of just sitting down and reading the base literature and learning a biblical language on your own. I need to have a cool program to accommodate my 5 sec attention span.

  • Or, just go to an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi and find out what it is like when a man REALLY knows the Bible.

Enough Christian interpretation of texts they stole from the Jews!

Don't believe me? Try reading Flavius Josephus (a Jew!) and his histories without having Whiston the Christian Jew-hater's commentary shoved in your face.

  • when in Oct. will it be released. This should be presented to our young people, it will be easy for they to become involved in the study of the Word because of the tech knowledge!

  • looks amazing guys. glad you advertised on biblegateway!

  • Visually it looks amazing. Probably very adequate and suitable for someone below 30 years of age. For me, purchasing and using this would be a waste of time though. I'm trying to break free from the digital world as much as possible. But again, a wonderful buy for the younger generation.

  • Im 21 and i think this is a waist of time aswell, it will not only teach youngs to cling to technology but also this is a representation of today's so called Christians, taking what the world adores and trying to impose and imply it to the Christian world...If you don't believe me, look at all those images that are used, cause everybody knows, to appeal to a kid, or even a majority of adults, use an image =)

    [Deuteronomy 5:8] and [2 Corinthians 5:7]

  • Can't wait for this! Will it compete with Logos, or is this something different?

  • Not a competitor of Logos. glo is more geared toward families and non-scholars.

  • I will wait until it releases and purchase, but how can I get the free version until then.

  • We have made some pre-release limited-feature versions available for select leaders and influencers, but is not available for the general public. If you want to be notified if/when we make it available, send us a message...or get a full version when released this October!

    Thanks, cocoabella73!

  • I would love to see this!

  • ( Select leaders and influencers and not to the general public) ??? hmm, sounds like some Babylon activity to me, the word is from God, to the people, not to the people who claim they know the word more then someone else, but to all people.

  • Nice!
