If it only was to be ! I could picture Elvis at 75 with the hair a little shorter with the sideburns , maybe a little bald on top , with very few wrinkles on his face and thinner . His voice still in top form and the tempo to his songs a little slower . The TCB band , The Stamps , & The Sweet Inspirations would have younger and newer members still carrying on the tradition .

@CRISIS550166 - Elvis used 2001 Space Osyssey up to his last concert June 26, 1977. The arrangement you heard is from Elvis On Tour. It is a modify version of the 2001 theme because of unsettled royalties and recording issues in 1972. So Joe Guercio modified it for Elvis On Tour and it was used in This Is Elvis as well. If you watch 8mm footage of Elvis' last year you will see and hear that 2001 theme was used. Also, if you watch Elvis In Concert and outtakes that 2001 theme was played.

It´s a slightly modified arrangement from "Also sprach Zarathustra" for the GoldenGlobe winning "Elvis on tour" Documentary which MGM apparently used for unsettled royalties and recording issues.

I dont know the name of the intro u talk about, but what I do know is that it is on elvis on tour film , as elvis is ready to come out on stage - I think they used this in april 72 instead of the 2001

watched the king last night and fulfilled my lifes ambition to see the king in concert at manchester it was a sell out i loved it .

went to seethis last night at 02 london it was amazing ronnie and james were the nuts as were they all closest to the king ill ever get . sweet sweet spirit made the hairs on your neck stand up and im not religious . 10 out of10 !!!!

@simongood3 I was there last night too. From beginning to end I was just blown away by it all. Im 27 so way before my time but "JUST WOW" I could'nt stop tapping my feet the whole way through. The crowd were on top form too, packed out.

When he sang "though art" It sent shivers down my spine!

All I can say is if you have'nt seen this - GO......

I went to see Elvis at the NEC on 20/02/2010. The King was absolutely awesome! Fantastic entrance, sent shivers down my spine. Felt like crying seeing the the great man up there on stage! I'm going to the O2 gig on 28th Feb. Can't wait! BTW I'm singing at my sons birthday party as Elvis, and going to Graceland next month........I just love Elvis so much!!
