There have been starving millions for years. The population forecasts range from 3 to 15 billion, depending on birth & death rates. If we educate everyone the birth rate will drop. But how do we increase the death rate when no one wants to die, or watch their parents die? We're facing a tipping point that's been building for 50 + years. We fix it peacefully or we go to war, or the earth will cull us. Or all of the above
the earth in my opinion cannot support 12 billion people we have 6.5 billion right now and there's a ton of people starving to death out there so to nearly double that amount might mean to double the amount of starving people, also the climate change has a lot to do with our population, we need to produce enough petroleum products for 6 billion before the baby boom generation there was only 2 billion of us
