See, there is just something REALLY scary about old school effects and puppet work...everything now is just CGI bullcrap and it all looks the same, you know right away how fake it is and how typical it is...gmork the wolf is scary as shit! he's just rubber and latex and fake fur, and its scary as hell...

CGI can do whatever it wants, but there is nothing like the real thing, real physical actual, 3-dimensional creatures and characters!

I remember when I was a kid,I wishd I had the eyes of those sphinxes. Along with the music playn;when them eyes open up to Atreyu,it just looks too tight!! Now,standn as a grown man,I can watch this and have chills lookn at the sphinxes eyes opening. Makes me wish I was a kid again. I miss these movies. Also that music,when Atreyu was walkn to them sounded tight as a kid and even now,still sounds tight.

The Sphinxes always gave me the creeps. I thought the Southern Oracle where like them because they are exactly alike, except they shine blue instead of yellow. I also thought it was creepy when they started to fall apart. It reminded me of the statues in the movie Amittyville 2: The Posession.
