Patrick Kennedy: I like what you have to say. More people in Congress should have your sensibilities to human issues - fact is, lots of people commenting here seem to have the childish instinct to ATTACK others all the time. Such outpouring of negative reactions to Kennedy's emotional statement is, for those who get why he is justifiably emotional, not surprising. Its what emotionless sheep do - bully - whenever confronted with something they can't relate to due to their lack of empathy. And btw addiction has nothing to do with (Kennedy's) morality. IF they come from Canada ILLEGALLY...they are ALIEN to this country. If they come LEGALLY...then they are immigrants. Yet far too many IMMIGRANTS have no intention of assimilating to American culture, as do ALL ILLEGALS. They want to CHANGE our culture. I think that he had valid points, but he could have rephrased them better so that they weren't so inflammatory. He made broad statements without analysis...while I agree with him on his views, I believe that the execution of this points was poor. He should have cited legitimate sources instead of a movie...that just discredits his argument and unfortunately makes the points he is arguing for look ludicrous.
