Man I love this lake. I am leaving at 3 am tomorrow morning. (Sunday) and headed there for 6 hours of fishing then headed home. :) Can't wait!  :D:D:D

There is some badass fishing to do in this lake. I probably fish here 20 days per fishing season. I stay in minocqua 1 or 2 days at a time. I live 2 hrs away in the big town of suring. :-P Its worth the drive. Look forward to going as much as possible!! Rock on Lynyrd Skynyrd! :-D

I grew up in Wisconsin and used to spend weekends just north of Minoqua at Wild Rice Lake. Good times!

this is the best place in the world. I went there last summer, and i don't know if i'm going back(i went with my dad's ex-girlfriend). I wanna bawl my eyes out, i wanna go back so bad that it hurts.

i go to Minocqua every year and id cry if i couldent !! this place has soo many memories in it that....well are amazing!! like one time when i was up there i went into my grandmas back yard and out of nowhere a deer pops up...then 13 more deer come out of the trees ....i almost peed myself..!! XD

Minocqua used to be nice, 20 years ago, before it became a run-down city. The people who live up there are retarded - they try to make their town into a crap city by adding fast food places, cut down trees and condos. And they have no appreciation for FIP's - we bring the money baby.

hey, first of all its not the fault of the people who live up here. we haven't put any new fast food places in, and in fact one of the just went out of business. and the condos are being put up by a guy who has been trying to buy out the whole area piece by piece for the past ten years or more. but now he's broke so theres no more of those being put up. so think before you say that I and my friends and family are retarded.

Meanwhile, places like the Boardwalk, Hardee's and the A&W Drive in close - the originals. I remember when the drive between Hazelhurst and Minocqua was all trees - now it's all crap.

i hav a place up there and i go two, three times a year (which isnt enough in my opinion)and i think tht minocqua has more bald eagles than loons. i never c them anymore up there. r they at a certain spot or wut?

yeah i live up here too. i am a city girl though and i cant wait togo back to the city. this place is beautiful to vacation but not a very x citing place to live. everybody knows everyones personal business and i aint used to that shit. there aint nothing like the city.

Don't take your lovely home from granted. It is adored by many as their sacred haven from the rat race that is everywhere else. It is also a family tradition for many. My parents brought us there as kids, now I am taking mine. So thankful that much hasn't changed in God's Country. Enjoy.
