very sweet harmony....I'm mostly rock n roll, but good music is good music....I thank YT for enriching my musical depth as a musician and a guitar teacher..also I thank God Dayton Oh. finally got a radio channel with great music,. 105.9 from Northern Ky. University...commercial free , no less....
I have seen many country concerts I saw Dwight in the nineties at merryweather post pavillion by far the best performance I have ever ever seen I Love Love Love him Brigette Fonda is a lucky woman
Most people don't really realize how difficult it is to sing as well sync'd as these two are. To learn each others timing and syntax like they did made this a classic from note one!
Patty can sing on the same level of any singer. She never out sings anyone allowing them their equally deserved spotlight, and that is a true gift. She makes anyone close to her shine.
I have this song on CD but was so nice to see the video. I just love this tune as it's got the old fashioned sound to it. Just goes to show that DY can sing any song and do a lovely job on it.
very nice, but i would have thought that Dwight should have invested in a better class of blue jeans, the ones he is wearing look like they seen better days...shows his nice knees though ......
I don't know why I do this but I keep replaying at 2:24 when Patty sings "just how empty this ole world is." I think it is classic country phrasing and she is one of the best at it. Thanks for posting! *****+
Always good to see and hear Ms Loveless who pulled at the old heart strings in some of her ballads. This song didn't do all that well on the charts, peaked at (47), but certainly deserved better. "How Can I Help You Say Goodbye" is oneof those heart tuggers
Really great music from 2 of the best!

Not only the two artist singing are good so is the great Mark O' Connor on the fiddle , probably the greatest fiddler of all time.

j1942okie hit the nail on the head. Couldn't have said it better myself. Love this right here!
If you can keep your toes from tappin' and not sing along with these two, you just don't love country music enough.

Man, that is mighty purdy ... Dwight Yoakam can sure deliver a song, and so, too, can Ms. Loveless. ... Beautiful.

Patty Loveless, a real country singer. Not like the invented tootsies they're turning out today. Truly outstanding in duets. A stone fox.
