Mad that we have the best medical technology in the world? We cannot expect that such quality techonolgy is cheap. In addition, individuals do not have the right to have other individuals pay for their care. So why then is it okay for the government to simply be a middle man in the same situation? The idea of being forced into paying for other people's health care is dead wrong. NOW... 2009, you can order it in some small quantities for "special cases" at 100 dollars the same box!!! only in USA.... USA isnt the most powerful nation in the world, they are trillions in debt, the puppet government purposely poisons their citizens in every aspect of their lives,they have a bad education system(no child left behind), low quality of food and water which as a result cause illnesses (fluoride, aspartame, corn syrup to name a couple). We have Medicare for our elderly and Medicaid for poor families. They are government run, but they're imperfect at this point; Medicare in particular costs a lot of tax payer money, partly because of stupid compromises like, agreeing not to negotiate lower medicine costs (as to not hurt the Pharmaceutical Companies) even though that RIDICULOUS because Tax Payer money is used to pay for those drugs, and without being able to negotiate lower costs, we directly pay for their enormous profits!

that being said, it is a really complicated issue and there are many reasons why health care is expensive / why we don't cover enough people, ranging from Insurance Companies just caring about profits above human life to Government being the problem because of all of their regulations and interference. It depends on what politician you want to listen to, but for all i believe it's probably a mix of all of those things.

It doesn't work and causes tens of thousands of death annually. It's a terrible state of affairs. Laws are in place to allow businesses to capitalize crazily with health care, so people of course look to the government thinking the businesses are too greedy.

They are too greedy of course, but the laws in place allowed that situation to come about.

They'll be asking government to foot the bill. The US is far beyond broke. They have to cut most of their spending before any of these healthcare issues.
