This is impressive, thanks for the demonstration! I am even far from doing a good handstand right now. But one thing i noticed: When doing the regular handstand movement, you mostly look down to the floor. My mestre told me to train looking to the front so i can see my partner all the time.
Would you suggest training in both ways, looking up and down, or just train one way?
Ido, you are really amazing. I'm from Brazil, and now that I discovered your portal, you are officialy my teacher of body control. I practice Capoeira for 8 years, and my specialty are those static movements, but you make them look EVEN MUCH MORE static! Hope I'll be like you some day. And who knows, to play with you someday soon!!
Ido you really are one of a kind. I hope to once come train with you. I started like half a year ago training capoeira and I follow you vids for a while now. Your game and your dedication to everything you do are really inspiring. I hope to once play a gamo of capoeira with you. Im deffinitely gonna train hard!!!
Nice video Ido. One question: I'm searching for a longer handstand and a one arm handstand. This is a formidable material to my training: thank you very much.
Do you recommend to follow this progresions one to one, not going forward until have a good control of one technique?
May i ask how long it took before you mastered this ?. did you start directly trying all these moves after you got the balance to do plain handstands ?
Would be thankful for any tip. Im just a begginer.
OMOGMOGMOGMOGMGO you are a beast i cant hold a handstand for some reason ): i only can hold it sometimes for like 10 sec and then i lose balance but me holding it for that long is extremely rare. i want to hold handstands like you have any advice for me?
you are awesome i want to be able to do some of the things you are able to do. what would you suggest for me to do? i can do basic handstands, but my back is arched to much, and i want to work to at least close to where you are. i am athletic, and very capable, but i need pointers. thanks so much for the video, its awesome!
Brother, only now can I really appreciate the hundreds of hours of work you've put into your handbalancing practice. Before, I was (more or less mystified). The handstand work is definately the focal point in my own training, and watching you continues to bring new inspiration. Hope things in France with Master Claude Victoria, is going great! I'm sure you will enjoy your experience!
Incredible! I consider this video a form of art because of how the concotion of the music and the poses make me feel Thanks for this video. O yeah! how do u do this so well and how long have you been doing this?
you're truly awesome, Ido - I especially love your one-arm handstands. I'm currently trying to get those though I can't decide which arm should I use for it :(
I just found this by accedant, been doing all kinds of movement for 10 years. watching the balances I so did not expect capiera, i did that for a year and loved it. very beautiful movement. never stop. any tips on creating resilience in the wrists?
We will go over some stuff when you get here, but generally you are heading towards towards a very interesting direction of combining Capueira, floor work and equilibre... I would start filming yourself from the back and side (there is much to learn from that) and do more cube work...
Perfect balance!

what the problem with my handstand
i can do balance at 3 sec only
why?
daienzd 2 years ago
When you do hand stands...
Start in a runners sprint position.
Spread your fingers apart.
Grip into the ground.
Stiff out your arms so it's relies on structure not strength.
Straighten your legs and point the feet straight up, like your trying to push your body skyward.
Start doing this against a wall until your can do it real easily then move away and start experimenting with your hand stands.
Any other questions, feel free to ask me :D
