Luger you say? Not really. It is a superficial resemblance only. Especially the grip, which did appear to be of the same shape as the Luger, not to mention the tapered barrel too. It is closely based on the Japanese pistol Nambu 14 without the locked breech. These pistols were at best adequate.
The Ruger series of sporting pistols of that design live on. For good reason. They are strong, reliable, and mightily accurate for a stock pistol. Above all; cheap to shoot and a lot of fun too.
All Ruger pistols in that series are Excellent! I have a Ruger Mk3 22/45 with 5.25 bull barrel modified to accept all 1911 grip panels. (Hogue palm swell grips on mine) It resides in a "Battlecloth" holster custom made for me by Steve who is "Battlecloth". It is the BEST field holster for this pistol. The crown of the muzzle is protected by about 1.5 inches of fabric since it is designed for a suppressed Ruger. Not cheap but worth it to a guy in Canada.
@Hoady101 kind of, this model (the 22/45 mark 3) has a frame that's supposed to resemble more close to a 1911 with a tiny barrel. but it is safe to say the mark 2, 1, and the standard model or the original ruger pistol is based off the luger
An undercover FBI agent told me the mafia use to use the 22 it is very lethal because it is hard for doctor's to fix up a small hole in someone and the bullet breaks up causing more damage.
@1000hightower its the same as with a 9mm a .380 a .38 special, a .45 long colt, and a whole bunch of other rounds. it doesn't take a large caliber hand gun to nock someone down. any size round from about a .380 up, will give you some serious troubles put anywhere waist up, and any smaller caliber will still give you troubles if put in the right place, but i have this bad feeling people in the mafia didn't use a .22...it would be too hard to kill with one shot...
@1000hightower I doubt the person who told you that was a real FBI agent, small holes are easier to fix than large ones, and any bullet that breaks up would cause more damage if it doesn't.
@thehotsixer 1000hightower is correct. If a .22 bullet enters through the skull it will not retain enough energy to exit the skull but will keep enough to bounce around inside which is why it can be particularly effective in a certain situation. It is not the hole that they have to fix but the internal brain damage. Also the bullet will not break up inside the skull the brain matter is soft enough to keep it mostly intact.
@Reokue it depends what type of ammo your using winchester super x has more than enough power to penetrate both sides of a human skull while something like the federal bulk packs would just bounce around it all depends on the bullet used
@1000hightower well another reason why they used to use the .22 lr is bevause it's a quiet round, and that makes it easier to silence than a larger round like the .45ACP and even the 9MM
bitch id make a video on here n show you what guns look like..if u shot me wit tht i would laugh at you..mite as wee shoot me wit a bb gun faggot...i fuck wit 40 calz..n 45z..not no fukin 22z queer...ur shit sounds like a cap gun...im shootin cannons bitch shut up..crakcker
well you dont really see us ... that would be like saying that why did the chicken cross the road ... or is it the road thats moving under the chicken ... huh .. makes you think .
