@MrConcon64 Well, i just counted out how many steps i take to cross a known distance and then count my steps as i walk away from the target. I generally take 12/13 steps for every 10 meters, then with time and practice, you just get able to judge how far away something is and can aim the bow appropriately.
If you look carefully, you'll see i'm shooting downhill, meaning the arrows arrive flatter over longer distances, and the targets are not perpendicular to the ground either. Also @octofel is right, i could shoot distances like this with a 36 pound bow, and mine is a 45 pound bow, so even on the flat my arrows would only really start needing a more curved shooting line (and therefore impacting at more of a downward angle) at about 30 to 35 meters.

hey i started doing longbow archery 2 years ago now and i was wondering how would you judge a distance of say 20-30 yards any tips thanx

i dont bleave this the arrows are comming in to flat from 22 m they would be impacting at mor of a downward angle.
