Saw them at the Hammersmith Odeon in London in 1988. I arrived early and was hanging around outside when Joey came out and invited me in to watch the soundcheck. It was almost my own private Manowar show - just me sitting in the stalls. A great memory!

I guess it was kind reduced when converted but more or less the quality is the same when broadcasted. And of course the vocals performance was much better than nowdays.

I don't like Shankle much, but one of the best songs of Manowar IMHO is from the album where Shankle plays (can't remember the name of the song though) and he plays nice solo there.

Yeah, he is definitely Shankle. Ross doesn't look like that... and Ross used SGs and LPs and some other guitars, but never used guitars like that. Nice video, but quality is a bit poor..

Well, the date is right for sure. And this is David Shankle just after Ross' departure during the Kings Of Metal Tour. Indeed, during the video, Eric Adams introduces the new guitarist as "Godkiller"

I have the 70 minutes of this concert recorded on VHS (and DVD).

No it is david shankle... for sure, there is no doubt about it... i have seen them both play live, he moves like shankle, he plays like shankle, and ross uses the gibson shape, thats daves guitar....

evidence: long time manowar fan, i know my stuff.

the video uploader may have had the date wrong, because it is for sure shankle.... also ross was never this muscular or in this good shape.
