V = SQ RT [2gh]

= SQ RT [2*32.174*72].........(72' drop)

= SQ RT (4633.056) = 68.07 ft/s

Converting to MPH = 46.36

Factoring in losses from Air Resistance and Friction (friction can be significant on these old woodies), and it's probably pretty close to 40 MPH.

Actually, going from 46 to 40 seems like a little too much of a loss just on the first hill, but it could be I guess.

I think most of the scare factor comes from when you're half way up the hill and you realize half the support beams are rusted through.

i want know what rides have the longest and shortest waits? i saw this show and it said that millenium force has a 3 hr wait....is that true?

@melissanicole5 it depends on how big the line is (and it WILL get big) but if you really want to ride it get there relatively early and wait

This actually was not technically the first rollercoaster in Cedar Point. There were several roller coasters at Cedar Point before this one was ever built. However, most were torn down before or shortly after Blue Streak was built.
