While I do like the original better in general, I can say that this one's still quite a work. I'm cool with this album, I don't buy into this whole "they're not punk anymore" business. They're doing what they want, that's kinda what music is about, isn't it?

The punkest thing Alkaline trio could have done was release this record. They're doing what they want and not following the stereotype of what punk should be. Punk is an attitude not fashion or a type of music and I don't give a shit if you agree with me or not, when you grow up you'll understand.

yea its not punk anymore. its not what it was. but how can half-acoustic songs keep their punk rock attitude? and what did you expect alkaline trio has always been their independant selves. this isnt close to the first time they changed their sound. im sure you didnt say this shit when they started to shift into a darker attitude. this song is about intense emotions. any punk band trying to make a song like this into a punk song with 3 power chords over and over is trying too hard to be punk.

@8KiTTiN8 Listen to the original then? They did an acoustic album and in my opinion: The elevtric version is great when you're angry at your ex or whatever, whereas this one is best when you feel sad. To conclude... These guys are incredible at everything they do.

just appreciate the music for what it is. do you know how many bands havn't lasted or broken up or got a bunch of new members. ALK3 is still playing n putting out albums. yes, there sound changed a lil through the yrs but that's what happens when you grow.

Two, Alk3 made this album for the fans, and a true fan would be able to appreciate it and use it to compare with the older song to tell how far the band has come and how much it has changed, for better or for worse, the opinion is yours. So you should at least be able to appreciate it, but you probably dont because im sure you think its "just a song"

Definitely technically better, but it lacks the passion the original has. I loved how raw it was. You could really feel that Matt Skiba was genuinely pissed off. This version sounds pretty though.
