Corollas, Camrys, etc. are overrated and many older ones had either sludge or oil consumption problems However, the Supra MKIV does NOT suck. It was a very cool car that could take shitloads of power on its 2JZ. It is the very very exception to the whole "Toyota sucks" thing.
Although I like the Ranger, I see no Ranger owning a Toyota. I see a Toyota driver who isn't driving as fast as the Ranger driver.
I also see a mid-'80s Toyota that is a good 15 years older than the Ranger and probably has a rougher ride, which could very well have something to do with the driver not hitting the bump as hard.
And the Toyota has a 4 cylinder, while the Ranger very likely has a more powerful V6.

A claim of 70,000 miles is not enough information to diagnose anything; how old is the car, how often does he wash the car, there are too many variables that are taken into account. Basically, all cars have zinc coatings on them which protect against rust. Would you be inferring that ford uses inferior Zinc, when all Zinc is the same...?
the sohc 4.0 liter explorer motor for the 00-04 were considered junk. as of now it is not drivable. First his maf went bad got that fixed. then his engine started to misfire and spit and everything. Chevy has the longest lasting truck on the road (the silverado) and toyota has the best selling truck of 2008, because people think they get better gas mileage. Id rather have the longest lasting than the better mpg anyday. Not to mention... Straight fact here.. 90% of the money you spend on a toyota goes to Japanese executives outside the country.

Really? Lets look at FACTS. I recently went to a dealer that sold Toyotas and Chevys. A Tundra's window sticker said it has 80% US/Canadian parts content. A Silverado's window sticker said 61% US/Canadian parts content.

I see you gave no FACTS to back that statement up. So I will give you some FACTS, just like I did in my previous post.
Did you know that GM vehicles have about twice as many instances of unintended acceleration? And that the supplier that supplies Toyota with electronic throttles also supplies the US Big 3, including GM? Yet the biased media never seemed to tell that side of the story.

That's the dummbest video ever, you drive the ranger at a high speed, of course it's going to jump higher, while the forerunner comes in at a lower speed. Besides if you think your truck is better because it jumps higher you are retarded, Japanese cars are about quality they can last you 200,000 miles on average, while american cars last only about half that.

My friends Camaro 170,000 miles
My friend ford Tempo 290,000 miles
My dads taurus 300,000 miles
My friends Toyota carolla started rusting out about 2 years after he bought it and ate through two cam shafts after only 90,000 miles. and he even kept up with the maitance and didn't abuse it.

Thats why the tundra's bed twist and slaps the back of the cab off road. They might get good gasmilage and have good power. But they can't hold a flame to a Ford or a Chevy truck. Hell even dodge makes them look bad when it comes to "drive of a cliffablitiy"
