  • Mind like water. "Mushin" can reflect itself in the body! Perfect example. Everyone finds their own style and concept. This is one of the most inspiring displays of Mushin and fluidity I have seen in my 30+ years in the arts. Yin magnificence. One must mix one's own personal flow with that of the Tao. You don't try to analyze this you become inspired by it!

  • She's.. Adorable.... I HAVE A NEW MISSION IN LIFE!!!!... To learn and master Tai chi!!

  • After another year of practice, I'm of the opinion this is one of the most interesting performances I have seen on youtube. Not only are the moves different, but her skill is quite obvious to me now. I wish I had a name to place to her, or her form. I am forced to wonder if this is another style other than Yang family tai chi?

  • See my video Yang 48 with new interpretation. I try not to use too much competition style. Welcome your comment. Just need to search You Tube for "Jeff Tseng 2011"

  • This is a beautiful way of living, in peace with yourself and keeping your body fit.

  • Why all the videos have women doing tai chi ? Maybe balls get in the way for man..!

  • Amazing! Powerful.

  • Damn, simply watching her I am calm and feel serene (And want to try some of those movements~)

  • WATERBENDING.

  • @TheGPYWEM well i think Tai Chi is what water bending was based off of they actually stated what each form of bending represented at some point

  • I'm still new to this, but aren't her knees extended too far over her feet? Other than that it seems beautiful.

  • @Pastelgizmo Yes. It looks so painful!

  • Beautiful control and balance of her energy throughout the form. Incredible strength.

  • Good!

  • Great Yang style!

  • She is good

  • impresionante!!!

  • shes slow, my grandma can kick her ass in a fight

  • I dont know wether to practice yang style or chen style can someone please tell me the advantages/disadvantages of each

  • Amazing grace and strength. I wish the origin of the video could be traced...

  • Style37

  • Am I the only one who came here because of Avatar? :s xD

  • Had my first lesson last night :) hopefully I'll be this good one day.

  • This is not the Yang form. It is the older 48 Move Combined Form made previous to the 42 Move Combined. Her stances are impressive and her kicks amazing! This is one of my favorite Taiji videos.

Just because your teacher may practice differently, don't dismiss the validity of another's technique. It is an art and the are many ways it can be expressed. It is also Taiji and there are so many applications hidden so as not to be totally specific.

  • why yang style looks better than michuan tai chi? I'm so used to yang style and now I have to learn michuan style.. (because we don't have yang teacher in town at the mom.)

  • Taiji begins as an internal art. Once this is 'set', external applications become the focus. Combat is always on one's mind (ideally) when practicing, and the speed indicates a fastidious attention to the moment. The external form is fast. In fact, many of the forms occur before the opponent is half way through an attack. Quickness is one of the aspects of taiji chuan. Sticking the opponents gravity often occurs by interrupting their assault.

  • what is her name???

  • @nedsibadsi

it is sue ren feng .. (has won the asian games .. some years ago)

  • Waterbending

  • when i see this i want mma mixed with this tai chi or wing chun only no time for it :P

  • Superbe, beautiful the best tai chi demostrations I ever saw.

Where fluency, endurance and art mixed with feminity

    overtaked all the martial forms.

Tai chi is art not only a combat...

  • I used to practice Aikido as a kid and I always thought Tai Chi was beautiful. But How do you defend yourself in slow mo? I'm not being sarcastic either. How does this work?

  • @vandalaylatex6969 I guess that you just speed up the movements in a real attack.

  • @vandalaylatex6969 If you want to see how this would be used in self defense the clearest way is to check out the "push hands" style. You could also check out the combat tai chi with master Wong on Youtube.

  • @vandalaylatex6969 I saw your question, this isn t even slow,it is exceptionally fast,,this form should take about 13 minutes, doing it that slow will build strength through every inch of each movement, and incredible speed..No kidding, the slower you go, the more speed you build..The whole practice is about leading energy, and you will find that doing a movement with your mind is twice as fast as you could ever do with your "muscles"..my old teacher insisted all his technique came from the form

  • @vandalaylatex6969 This is just the forms. To learn to defend yourself, you'd have to study the applications of each form, do drills, conditioning, sparring, etc, like any other martial art.

  • thank you for posting

  • Beautifully done!

  • Taiji is taiji. There is no so called principles for competition and another for martial. That;s what makes tai chi what it is.

  • Я б вдул

  • cool

  • This form looks like it takes a good deal of leg strength.

  • Incredible! Thanks for posting.

  • I worked on learning this form from this video. It took me 4 months to get my stance as low as hers safely and comfortably. My knees are the strongest they've ever been. Now I use that refinement of lower body form in all of my practices ( Ne Gung, Tai Chi, Aikido, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Tai Kwon Do). her kicks are beyond my flexibility at that speed, though I use them as my inspiration. I still love seeing the frustration on the faces of my BJJ friends when they try to shoot on me when we roll:)

  • Heh Heh. . cool. . how much has the practice been working out

  • @CFgroup1 Well done. This is probably the best 48 forms vid to learn from on You tube. I checked out your channel and you have got some serious skills bro ( anyone reading this should check this dude out!) Way to go on the Aikido and that chronic funk loop is off the hook. Thanks for sharing your comment and skills.

  • Excellent reference. It comes from a site which has amongst the best taiji videos.

  • I'm learning Taiji now, and my inexperienced, big body is having a hard time doing the form/s. She makes it look so simple to do!

  • im lerning this

  • @kanatapaw

I want learn Tiji but i can't download this video can u sen Tiji video for me

  • @wijesekare You can take it directly from Youtube by RealPlayer software

  • And having music set to it? Indoors? This is "come to my school and pay me tuition" tai chi.

  • Her knees are extending out over her feet. Really bad for the knees. This is merely showing off her "dancing" and benefits noone. Her bent/twisted leg at 2:13? Bad!

  • @puujisan you may see it as bad positioning of legs and feet but this lady is very well rooted, I mean you can see it, she stands like a tree, confident and relaxed able to do anything. When you are so relaxed and flexible nothing can hurt you. Not even your knee which went a bit away from the edge of your toes!!!...

  • i could watch her doing that for hours...so relaxin

  • A perfect execution of Yang's Tai-Ji... a fine example.

  • full body should always be visible

  • too dificult

  • i bet she could beat my azz lol

  • graceful like moving water.

  • Ta hen piao liang.

  • This woman is no doubt a master. Beautiful too.

  • brilliantly done so elegantly, but is it the competition form? As i fear it may be and not the martial form. Her knees go way past her toes in stances which goes against the martial rule of stabilitiy. i could be wrong but from my research it seems "competition" tai chi, looks more 'arty' whilst losing some of its fundamental martial aspects. either way both strengthen the body so well done to her!

  • @Anglostani

Dont know but she looks pretty stable to me...sometimes looks can be deceiving.

  • @Anglostani You're partly right. This video is actually mislabeled. This is not Yang taiji quan, it is actually a modern form (created in the 1970's) called the 48 move combined form. It combines techniques from Yang, Sun, Wu, and Chen family styles. Li Tian Ji who was an expert in Sun and Yang styles developed a modern system containing the 24 move short form, 48 move combined, a 66 move combined form, and then an 88 move form based mostly off of the traditional Yang Cheng Fu long form.

  • @Anglostani A competition form, 42 combined taiji quan, was created based on this form as a standardized form for competition to be done in a specific time limit. Now though there is a new competition taiji quan in which the forms are developed individually with nandu added (nandu are basically difficult jumping kicks and tricks). I've seen a couple of these forms which looked pretty good, but a lot of strange stuff too. Nandu took much of the emphasis away from the traditional techniques.

  • @Anglostani

Her stability looks good to me.

  • @Anglostani I confused you want to be rooted using gravity force..bla bla bla but the wole point is that she does not lose her balance and let the chi flow in her right?

  • elegant, graceful, beautiful and soothing loved it! I am so learning tai chi!

  • XwoLveS89 ... I thought sticky hands was a Wing Chun drill, not Tai Chi. Im not saying its not a effective art; just saying i think you got the two confused. I would say Tai Chi is more about using your opponents energy and redirecting it against them but i could be wrong.

  • what do the uniform colors for taichi represent?

  • man, I thought I was good, but she really has powerful legs!

  • A lot of ppl will talk shit about taichi is for meditation and not for fighting all that pansy nonsense....but damn !! this is some deadly stuff, just look closely....this stuf can kill !!

  • She has AMAZING leg strength...it is a very beautiful and graceful demonstration.....

And for all the NON-Martial Artists out there, it may only look soft, flimsy and weak, BUT it takes a lot of strength to do what she is doing -

You do not want her to kick you., she has the strength to kick a lot of ppl's asses into next week...lol

  • @comrad1986 People dont realize it, but that women can probably kick their ass back to the Three Kingdoms period!

  • @maggotmask1 ppl too ignorant in this world !! if she totally empties her mind and fights (freestyle), not even Mike Tyson could fuck wit her program, she'd fuck mike up real bad, i'm seein some deeeeeep shaolin shit in this, imagine if this shit is sped up, this is some bone breakin and organ rupturing shit homie !!!

  • @maggotmask1 I highly doubt it i would just kick her as hard as I can in the leg and I would happily bet hundreds of pounds she would start crying and whining around on the floor :)

  • @comrad1986 tai chi is not about kicking asses. Aniway I've got your point...

  • @comrad1986 too much wu shui movement... not bad though!

  • beautiful movements :o)

  • To shakeyourfunnymakerr ...

yes there are forms of tai chi which emphasize weapon use, such as sword and fan.

  • @tubism What about the body itself ? :p

  • is tai chi a martial art?

like do people every spar with tai chi?

  • @shakeyourfunnymakerr Tai chi is the most deadly and dirtiest form of martial arts. It is not spared because a correct move could mean injury or death. In all these movements are bone breaking maneuvers. It is a great secret.

  • @shakeyourfunnymakerr yes.. we layman can't see the skill.. it's like a normal fighting.. now the generation has loss quite a lot .. and it's true this art can hurt ppl.. it's powerful.. and u're talking about spar.. we dun spar like those mma fighters.. we use this system called sticky hand.. it's translated directly through Chinese

  • I bet she feels incredible after that exercise.

  • it looks so simple but try doing those postures yourself, it's a lot more difficult than it may seem. ^_^"

  • Wow! Just beautiful!!!

  • you're easily pleased

  • I'm studying Tai Chi w/a master teacher and she is totally awesome - so graceful and it takes a lot of discipline to do Tai Chi correctly. She looks like she's doing a beautiful ballet in slow motion. Wow, amazing!

  • It's "National Style", therefor the differences.

Her name is Su Renfeng, former Chinese University Champ in All Round martial arts.

    She's very skilled.

  • Comment removed

  • a veces me gustaria ke en este tipo de videos llevasen pantalones cortos para poder ver la musculatura de las piernas y como trabaja... tiene ke ser impresionante.

  • this is an mixed style, not yang.

  • This Yang form looks a little different from what I learned many years ago. However, she is very talented and her grace is 'top-notch'. She's very fluid and she is a pleasure to watch. Her movement is much better than mine.

  • very strong legs

must have taken her years to get to this stage

  • Hmm, although this seems to be some other brach of the Yang style (there are many schools all descending from the main family branch) I must say that I can't help my self but to watch in amazement how fluent and flexible her movments are. Not to mention the leg strength. Most impressive, poetry in motion.

  • she's a beauty. Her focus isn't bunched up and tense. Supple, centered, connected movements.

As an aside, and I am almost reluctant to mention this: it is too that no one knows how to use it for fighting

  • This is not yang-style !

it is one of the "refined" beijing-forms combining yang / wu and sun style.

  • Hi Everybody

I think that the camera man is not that good

    more details should be focused

  • this is the best I have seen in You-tube

  • 膝过脚尖,唯一瑕疵, 其餘都优美! Only thing is the knee is bent pass the toes; on the whole, very beautiful !

  • really nice... Thanks!!

  • Really beautiful!

  • Beautiful! Thanks

  • nice video , couled b so much better if had extra info with it that couled help ppl learn .

  • Beautiful .. I want to learn too

  • Is magnificent;glad it was suggested.I study it,& since it takes doing the practice to KNOW the life beauty..I applaud and encourage participation-Rock will teach

  • Wonderful video; a lot of nonsense in the comment box however. From what I know, Tai Chi is more or less derived from Taoist ideology... funny how so many of its practitioners seem to stray from the Tao... Then again, without that poor student laughing the Tao wouldn't exist so I suppose it's to be expected.

  • I think someone was confused with what you said (I am) and gave you thumbs down,

resulting in me saying "Lol" out loud

  • lol couldn't care less to be honest.

  • lol, i fell asleep from the music O.o

  • Fantastica concentrazione, bravssima!

  • if this is yang style, this isn't of Yang Sau Chung lineage

  • Если ты умеешь также двигаться - то у тебя есть право на критику

If you are able also to move - you have that right on criticism %)

  • i love the flow,god bless!

  • Now, I didn't really know where else to put this but:

I've seen some masters do the Yang long form, but when I came across a video of Erle Montaigue doing the form, it looked really different. Also, 99.9% of what I read about Erle Montaigue is from the guy himself or from one of his students.

One poster on YouTube said the Montaigue is a fake master. Is he?

  • yoshiro i went to a class of earles in the eighties and he was fully involved in his art then.I reckon he would have a few tricks up his sleeve.

  • Karl, don't be retarded. Seriously.

You could lose to this "Airy Tai Chi"

It's not about the form, it's about the practitioner.

So, keep your bullshit at home beating your wife. -_-

  • of i don't beat anyone but to my way of practicing Tai Chi this woman is not adhering to the principle of yin and yang. She flows alright but has no in out movement. Her entire structure is relatively rigid. This is not consistant with traditional Tai chi masters of the past would agree with me .Now if you or someone else has a different opinion fine but like I said before these people can't generate power. There is no martial validity its just a watered down version of a once formidable art.

  • The Woman has beautiful flow and balance but you are right to say she is not cultivating the power ancient masters practiced...

Your views are faulted as well however, as Tai Chi was a product of the Taoist separation from the original yogas developed in the Himalayas. These had no martial validity and were strictly used to replicate the formless self and connect with the magnetic fields of cosmic bodies and consciousnesses.

As yogis and Taoists separated the purpose was lost.

  • The three styles of Taiji that I'm familiar with (Yang, Chen, and Sun styles...secondhand knowledge of the first two and a practitioner of the third) all have specific martial principles followed and specific martial techniques in their form movements. The styles of Tai Chi practiced today are mostly martial styles. Unfortunately, those martial principles and movements are very rarely taught correctly...if at all...amongst most modern Taiji practitioners in the U.S.

  • As long as you are cultivating the energy and know how to control your emotions. The problem I see with most masters is they teach how to repress emotion and rarely teach how to cultivate.

Do you have a meditation practice as well? To test you chi lines stand with legs spread, arms straight at level of third eye in om mudra. You should breath in and feel energy rise from you solar plexus to 3rd eye. breathe out and push it into your hands.

  • This will open your lateral lines and your breath will control the energy flow. You do this for 1 hour. your body will become weightless.

  • @theMAG101 you are correct most us instructors say nothing about martial application and so many us practitioners are only practicing for health bennifit as a practitioner of shao lin quan shu I can see corrolation between the two styls and the woman in the vidio is very gracefull

  • I've never seen Yang Style done in this order or fashion, very interesting. Sure is pretty, though. Still a bigger fan of a more traditional style, even though I enjoyed watching this.

  • a superior man does not denigrate the practice of another

  • this is the pretty tai chi looks great and is a exercise but has no power .someone like myself who has done authentic yang style tai chi can easily push these dancers around.

  • your an idiot

  • I'm not an idiot i practiced yang style tai chi for 13 yrs By the way I practice at belmore park in Sydney between 9 and 12 every Sunday Why don't you come and do push hands with me big mouth or is your Tai Chi like your head .Full of air

  • good to know...ill make sure i bring a medal for you hero

  • yes, karl, you ARE an idiot, show us your talent and SHOW us that you are worthy to criticize others

if you don't then shut your mouth and stumble around your Sydney park blind and ignorant

you are full of air passed through bowels

  • Karl is not an idiot. He is not very in tune with the purpose of life but he is far from an idiot.

These practices are being taught wrongly and we need to regress back to the original practice and purpose.

It is a start and I support all who are in search for higher standard of living and spiritual truth. But to awaken myself is utterly useless... like jesus.

We must all choose to awaken and that means remembering our power. check out my channel

  • Yous a fool for that "master"....

  • put up or shut up karlcrawford

farting on someone else's videos without posting any of your own makes you less than the zit on the ass of a diseased toad

  • This is competitive tai chi. ITs not so good for your knee joints. I like real tai chi or traditional tai chi better.

  • Yeah she didn't turn her hip all the way for the single tail whip.

  • Her kicks, balance, and grace are remarkable

  • well, i guess, that's the limit of an average american mind ;)

  • graceful and beautiful...wear did ya find this one?

  • gracefully performed ... perfect : )

  • Look at that control and grace! There's nothing more beautiful than a woman doing something like this well

  • can some one name the song of some relaxing chineses songs.

  • It's not Chinese but look up Sojiro, there's some lovely Japanese flute on the album Forest (not to plug but you can hear one track of it played in my qigong video if you're interested)

  • This is the most powerful form of tai chi, the yang style.

    Yang style forever.

  • educational. favorite. :)

  • quand le tai chi chuan devient un art

  • very cool

  • Really a wonderful performance. *****

  • She a Diamond,Beautiful graceful movements.

    Thanks for sending mate

  • very nice but is the Combined 48 forms, not the Yang 48.

  • Verry perfect job, H-level.

  • this chick is way hot and smooth.

the amount of practice realy shows, but her uper body swings back and forth when she steps back and forward.

  • I like this Master Wong, and i have some of his dvd's. They are helpful to me. I have a saying, better to be tried by 12 that to be carried by 6. If some worthless uneducated rubbish druged up piece of crap tries to kill you, then kill them, do not worry about the law. In that moment of madness, the law will not be there to help you, only your training can help you, and the more you train, the more help you give to yourself. So remember, better to be tried by 12 than to be carried by 6. KILL.

  • I am fortunate to see this private greatness.

  • this music makes me wanna go to sleep

  • You see this is all about energetics. If you can control chi energy, then you will be able to disarm person without touching him.

  • i just cant see this to be efficient in a real battle .. nice froms and movements but not-combat worthy

  • If u actually knew about Real TaiChi then u would know u can use this in a real battle. some parts of it is just for chikung (Qigong) other parts if your Sifu teaches u right, is and can be used in combat and is very good also. TaiChi isnt only about chikung. if practiced right then it can save your life if ever needed

  • Thats because you don't understand the application of the form.

The reason why the movements were created in this way in the first place was to conceal their martial application as much as possible from rivals, so they wouldn't understand their style.

Masters would go as far as using long sleeves extending over the fingers to hide palm and first movements for this same sole purpose.

  • You have to understand that the movements of Tai Chi were derived from Martial Arts and not vice versa.

The movement's stimulate different meridian chanels, through stretches, hip, wrist, knee movements etc. and thus help clear the channels and promote chi.

This was perfect for the Kung Fu practitioner since the meridian channels stimulated through the repetition of his martial moves would be strengthened, giving the fighter a much more devastating attack.

  • To the untrained Blacky2000x, it may just look like gymnastics or dancing, but it's all blocks, parries and strikes, concealed within the form.

I know you look at this video and think, its not really concealed cuz her movements are very accented, but if you look at a real Tai Chi practitioner it won't even look like they are doing Tai Chi, in fact you probably won't be able to make one strike or block out, ud say he was an old crazy guy in the park and by pass him.

  • it may be good prosture and form , but i am a tae kwon do red belt and speed and power are an important espect of martial arts to me .

  • No, no. I said the movements are concealed within the form, not that they teach you form only.

The attacks and blocks in Tai Chi and Kung Fu are some of the fastest available in any Martial Art, certainly faster than that of TKD or Muay Thai; i know this because i compete in both of these Martial Arts; so i'm not talking out of inexperience.

An example of this speed and power is legendary Martial Artist like Bruce Lee.

  • By your rationale; The attacks and blocks in TKD are very sloppy too based on its Pumsei; but thats not the case as we all know.

You can't compare a Martial Arts pumsei, katas or form practices with the movements executed in real practice.

Katas are just there to help the martial artist register the movements deep in his subconscious, while also showing great honor to his Art through this artistic demonstration of its grace and application.

It's not something to use in determining the art.

  • Here check this out Blacky2000x:

    /watch?v=jkJ3eNslXTw

  • woopee fucking shit, who cares if you are a red belt. I watched tae kwon do at the 2008 olympics, and i must say, if that's all tae kwon do is, then you might as well go to ballet classes, and boxersize....

  • oh well , the taewon do you saw is modern shit kown do , im doing traditional tae kwon do and it is a lot more about style and form

  • This is better to learn the old ways of tae kwon do. Good luck to you, and remember, it's not the belt, it's what's behind the belt. Believe in yourself, and remember all that your master showed you.
