The way I came to Karen: I have always loved listening to music on the radio, also when I was a child. Lately I remembered some old songs, that really appealed to me back then and were still lingering in my mind. I tried to find them on YT. Then I realized, that a whole bunch of those old childhood-memories, that were stored inside me were from Karen Carpenter! Didn´t know her name til then, now I´m glad I do!

this was my stepmoms fav song when it came out. we lost her Dec. 1st, she was run over crossing in front of a semi as she came out of a store. the semi was stopped and as she almost had cleared it the truck took off, knocked her down with the fender and ran her over with the front tire. my poor father saw it from the car he was waiting in.

This was my Grandmother Hill's favorite song - she had it in a music box that hung suspended from the beam in her living room - all you had to do was pull down on the string and it would play - such a special memory of a beautiful song <3
