  • 1:10 smoky smoky long time

  • And this, Is why japan is awesome.

Look at it! Its not a fucking fortress!

  • Why hasn't Japan banned smoking yet?!

  • @johnson1095 I think it's because too many people still smoke, but the regulation has been getting tightened gradually. Smoke area is separated in almost all places. Young people need IC card to buy cigarettes on a vending machine.

  • I dont know if anyone asked jut I head somewhere you can get buy underware from a vending machine..I dont dont know if its true or not

  • When it said "But best of all..." I was hoping to see a condom vending machine :(

  • CC LEMON! <3

  • Some of you are stupid. No, you don't use a credit card to get the tabacco. You can't just get it by pressing the button either. And each pack is about 300 yen. ($3) You have to REGISTER for a special age authentication card.

  • Are vending machines way more expensive than buying the stuff elsewhere?

  • and WHY can I not get a decent chai latte out of a vending machine here yet? WHERE ARE MY TAX DOLLARS GOING! XO! lol jk, it would be cool tho....

  • I don't like it that cigarettes are sold in Vending machines. Even More Kids might get used to them... =/

Btw, Do many people smoke in Japan? I am going thee for 1 Year to do voluntary service and I don't really like it if someone smokes next to me.

    Reply plz. =)

  • @yui4me

You will breathe tobacco smoke here.

  • @yui4me Apparently most vending machines have a age authentication lock, So you probably have to swipe your credit card in there if you want tobacco or something 18+

  • @yui4me kids do not smoke cigs, or drink as much as they do in the states. I think japan's culture is different.

  • @yui4me i know that 2/3 of the population in china is smoking.

  • @yui4me there is an ashtray everywhere

  • @yui4me

Cigarettes vending machines in Japan require your ID card.

BTW many japanese smoke actually, however, generally, Japanese live longer than other countries.

People don't smoke if at unallowed place. Most of public spaces are no-smoking.

  • wow! I didnt see an Aquarius in those vending machine..

  • I still can't believe cigarette packs are 300 yen... We're paying 10 + dollars here in Canada (even though I realllly shouldn't be -_-;;)

  • It would be interesting well to me to see you actually purchase something from those vending machines.

  • @mattman91c

I'm sure there's some function that requires proof of your age. Since the drinking age is 20.

  • @parrish001 .....REALLY, nice I moving to Japan

  • @mattman91c

  • Comment removed

  • Aww man have you ever been able to get any Australian made cigarettes like longbeach winfield or anything like that or even beer.

  • in japan theres at least 1 vending machine near ur neighbored that must be great i stay in alabama in the ghetto so vending machines really dont make it here at all

  • The only problem is to be hardly updated the lineup. It is necessary to look for a fresh vending machine in every case.

  • you can buy anything from vending machine in japan XD, why cant we have technologies like they do >.>

  • I can't wait to go live in Japan!!! :D

Do you figure these machines will be pretty much everywhere in Japan? I'm interested in trying out the JET program, but I think it sends you to random places in Japan. I would love to get a gig in Tokyo though ><

  • Awesome. Bottled up and ready to serve.

  • I was coming home from vacation the other day and saw a vending machine full of iPhones and sandwiches... in the same machine. Hmm.. while I drop $300 on a new phone I might as well throw in a sandwich, woot!

  • man i wonder how much money i can make frum this by jus using these vending machines as my job xD

  • cocktails in a can is it bether then paying 20 euro's (10 or 20 dollar) in a bar?

  • yes, i lived in Taiwan (similar culture in many ways) for 4 years and there is very very little petty crime, especially stuff like theft

  • They don't need enforcement due to majority of the culture there not being greedy, destructive, thieving juveniles delinquents etc like in the United States.

  • Oh did I mention that they respect their country as not to dispose of their trash anywhere but the proper trash receptacles.

  • yea why is that?? i think its because you almost never see anyone who grows up to be a bum or drops out of school early or gets laid off because of no work. I swear they are like the happiest country in the world! they dedicate their lives to entertainment, i mean have you seen those crazy japanese shows? all the great food they eat?? how everyone is amazingly slim and healthy???

  • @rentaroo there is actually some japanese guys that does bad stuff to the machines... my brother used to live there.... next to his apartment there was a machine with lots of cans... some times there was a group of high schools guys buying cans and putting in a place there in the machine... idk where is it... and when they get another can it makes a freking loud sound and the can explode haha >_>" when my bro passed by they just said: Konbawaaa~~~~~~ in line >_>" punks every where...

  • @rentaroo Yeah,, extremely harsh over the top punishment for breaking crime has nothing to do with it...... =\

  • lol cool. I alredy subscribed and im glad i did. I WANT TO GO TO Japan.

  • I wish we could have vending machines like these in the states, especially ones with alcohol. But they would be vandalized, raided and destroyed with in hours after being installed. Oh well.

  • @pooeyegg , absolutely agree with you... Exactly because of it there are no vending machines in my hometown

  • @pooeyegg i can see one guy getting arrested for doing exactly what you said tomorrow

  • wow thats amazing.. i want to go to Japan !!!

  • Actually I live in Japan, the food from these particular machines is better than you might expect.. and quick too!

  • is it true u can buy suits from vending machines

  • never seen one of them!

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom i heard you can buy actual underpants from vending machines, is this true? (Great work on the vids!)

  • yay beer for the win............ plus what the legal age to drink in japan

  • 20!

  • damm im going there when im 18

  • how do they enforce that??

i mean couldn't a kid just go buy some beer out of the vending machine?

  • 日本の自動販売機は世界一ですね。改めて思います、海外に出ると。でも、街は便利すぎるし、退屈しないけど、どこも忙しすぎで、窮屈。やっぱたまに帰って遊ぶのがちょうど良いな。

  • we are in stone age agains japanese technology and culture =O

  • You don't have vending machines in your country? :O

  • im not talking about the vending machines, kuz we have, i mean the beer vending machines =O

  • Yeah I was just joking with ya! :)

  • Comment removed

  • i've alway wondered, can anyone buy beer in japan then? if they're selling them in vending machines

  • Until recently anyone could buy beer, cocktails or tobacco from a vending machine.

Kids usually didn't because Japanese people don't usually break rules.

But slowly they are introducing a card system for people over 20 so kids can't access the good stuff :-D

  • well thats pretty cool and interesting, thanks

  • What a strange Vending Machine. No cola.

  • more disapointing: no alcohol^^

  • look at our video called "Best Vending Machine"

you wont be disappointed any more :-)

  • Many of the machines have cola but not many Japanese people drink it.

    They prefer healthier drinks.

That is one of the reasons there are few fat Japanese people.
