Iv got my 3.5l, 6 speed manual tibby trans., clutch masters stage 3 clutch kit. Fidanza flywheel, stock exhaust manifolds, stock MAF... just need short throw shifter, ecu, new motor mounts and a custom trans mount and I'm good to swap it into my optima!!
I have a 2005 xg350l, I've beaten tibs before in drags, the 350 is build more for luxury than speed, were you using the gear selector or just using automatic?
the guy know how to shift prety well is the tiburon that when it shift it unleshed a good pull on every shift guys but he know how to shift good tiburon by the way bro i own one the same color :)
the xg tranny shift's slow and one of it's best 0-60 time was 8.7 sec's ,
xg may have nearly 20 more HP than the delta but it's 3.5L iron block v6 is porky and so is the rest of the car,
The GK 6-speed tiburon has a decent power to weight ratio despite only having 170, but it's v6 is all aluminum and is quicker off the line that a 5-speed stick GT V6

Listen in between shifts, he slips the clutch too much. He should be just pushing it in and then letting it go, rather than "slipping" it out like you would when you're getting the car going in 1st gear.
It's the spring in the slave cylinder which limits the clutch release speed. It's a stupid factory feature. Pulling it lets the clutch release quicker but that mod hasn't been done to the Tib yet. It's not an issue with pedal release or slipping the clutch.
On a side note you have to be careful in the lower gears to not completely fry the clutch when you release it. If you get on the throttle hard too quickly sometimes it will just smoke the clutch before it will allow it to fully engage.

The raspy sound is the intake. The exhaust is way quieter than the intake on the Tib, even with the catback.

Yeah, I was referring to the higher-speed shifts. Wasn't aware of the spring issue though.
