The song is not to encourage or discourage Tweaks. Les is from the west coast and when you write your own songs you use a lot of things you see around you as inspiration, so I'm sure, with the west coast being infested with tweaks, it was easy to write the song!
i know plenty of PRODUCTIVE tweakers, and the irony is that the sarcasm is two fold, which is to say, it cancels itself out, almost. ergo, "damned" is in fact, sarcastic, the second time 'round.
did that clear it up for ya?
and the statement is "those" damned blue cllar tweakers', not "the"
I wasn't referencing "the damned" to "those damned blue collar tweekers" i should have clarified. I still don't think "damned" is a sarcastic word, but yes I do agree he is making fun of them. I think this will become a senseless battle of simple misunderstanding if we keep it going, so why not stop while we're ahead. I think it really all depends on the "tweeker" for the song to be interpreted to, and later defined.
What he's saying is that while there is a war on drugs, we still need the tweakers and other drug users who use that stuff to get thier laborous jobs done and keep the world turning. Like "A day Without a Mexican" for drug users
Basically, Blue collar'd tweekers are the guys that work under the guys... and on, and on layoffs here in Detroit. No Jobs, No paychecks. White collars are the guys that get the kick backs (bonus cash) like Connnors but still get to keep their position while school funding is literally retarded. The people who cash in Massive bonus paychecks and cheat our kids are at fault. Blue collard tweekers are the factory rats in millions who are being downsized or "reduced". God help us all!
yeah but when you look at the lyrics, he's sort of saying it's a sick twist. I don't think he's really defending them...hence the word "damn", in 'Damn Blue-Collar Tweekers"...
like the song "harold of the rocks". read the lyrics closley. its a bout a crack head he met. hence the word "rocks" as in crack rocks. or "on the tweak again" i think he finds tweakers very amusing as do i. I definitley ndont support their use, but my town is full of them. their stupid as can be but its funny when you see some tweeker riding his makshift mountain bike down the road with a bag of recyclables. lol. when youve seen enough of um you can spot them from a mile away
As I ponder your deep analogy and blow a giant cloud of white smoke from my clear pipe. I have to ask you " Have you ever tried drugs in your life?" The devils dandruff is forever defended by those like Les Claypool because it is the driving force of the West Coast underground culture and economy. It is something that many have no business playing with as it turns them into tung flapping, sexual deviants as oppossed to sexual diety's, and gutless rats. Primus celebrates the rest of us!
Highway workers supplied my best friend with coca to keep him working. My best friend was hung in his shower on a belt loop. "Just another dead Mexican", they said but the fire rescue team commented that they'd never saw a man dead with his hat on straight. Cops do little paperwork as possible. I miss my best friend. HIIAAh, HIIAAh.
Seeing Buckethead live is two-fold. One, He's unbe-fucking-lievably awesome. Two, you'll have to live up to the notion that whatever you do in life will never amount to anything as awesome as what Buckethead has ever done.
Haha, tis true. But, Larry has always been underrated, not only has a guitarist, but as a band member for Primus. He's more than happy to just be up on stage, performing his songs with his band and friends. I know I would be. Hell, I'd be happy to jump on stage and dance for even just ONE song.
id take Primus over Metallica any day

"damned" is a pretty sarcastic word
edslides 2 years ago
not really... "the damned", how does that ring sarcasm at all? it's more morbid in the dictionary. don't know where your from, buddy.

well nyboy, it goes like this:
i know plenty of PRODUCTIVE tweakers, and the irony is that the sarcasm is two fold, which is to say, it cancels itself out, almost. ergo, "damned" is in fact, sarcastic, the second time 'round.
did that clear it up for ya?
and the statement is "those" damned blue cllar tweakers', not "the"
grammatical difference.
