dude you are amazin in aout an hour and half iv just learnt your metalica riff and killin in the name of,you are one amazin teacher and i thank you lots for yor free time and effort cus it must take some time ,cus some people can play ant try to teach but have no method ,but you are great,thanks
i appreciate your videos, dude...it has helped me master this riff....i'm learning more, and i have to say, as long as i've been playing guitar, your lessons are the easiest by far; and i've been playing for years....
One trick I learned for tuning your guitar down if you're not too good at figuring it out by ear is if you put your finger on the second fret and just turn the tuning key until your tuner says the second fret of the string sounds like it normally would open. And even if you can't tell exactly by ear, it will be possible to figure the sound out a little.
Heres a question for you!! When I drop tune my guitar the first power chord you play is in a different position than the one you are playing..it is on the first fret (on both my electrics) what am I doing wrong?? My tuner works fine!! Love your work by the way, do you sell dvds and stuff on your site? Thanks
dude it wud be a great idea if u had a master the settings lesson where we could learn how to set the amp setting to get the like perfect tones for the songs or if u mentioned it during videos... cus i'm a sorta amp noob i'm pretty good on guitar but i've got a line 6 spider III 30 watt so i use mostly presets.
Hi, first thank you for sharing, second you're a great teacher to my taste, very clear and patient, like to see the intelligence in your eyes :). If you take a trip in Brussels, let me now I'll pay a lesson or two...hey, easy, I'm a guy who like your playing and teaching lol
I like your style of teaching, easy to learn. I can have a book in front of me for two weeks and not learn as much as I do in a five or ten minute lesson like this. Congrats and keep them coming!!
rpatzelt: It's not really possible to play that open D5 power chord in standard tuning, unless you had a 7 string I suppose ;). Of course playing it all in standard tuning would sound similar just not as heavy what with being a tone up.
NB: Dropped-D is DADGBE, just E string detuned a whole step. Whole step down tuning is DGCFAD. All strings detuned a whole step.
Great lesson mate but whaty amp are y using there is it the soldano and what model is it . Couldyou give me the setting for that tone its amazing . You shuld do a lesso on tone that would be awesome .
This video helped me a lot

I'd give my left testicle to be able play like that. I tried to learning how to play guitar, but it's f'ing hard!
CMANOBA 2 years ago
of course its hard, but thats what makes it fun, learning a song after bustin your ass on it, theres only 2 major things to put in a guitar;
1. Determination
2. Time
with both of those anyone can learn guitar

As usual I'm just using the guitar - > Carvin Legacy for the vid. With Mids cut and bass and treble boosted for the 'metal' tone.
I've been considering doing a 'gear/setup' vid maybe even a FAQ, watch this space ;).
