After Nd6 winning the exchange with NxR was assessed as pretty much a forced win by the players and commentators. Howell said in the press conference that short term it achieved its goal but longer term it was misplaced.

Great coverage there , I agree Howell was doing very well for most of the game its not like Carlsen comprehensively blew him off the board .

Hi...thanks for this. I was watching the live coverage too yesterday, and very good it is. That and the Full English Breakfast pod are certainly showing a new way to media chess. On the chess, do you think the three point football style scoring system encouraged a more ambitious attacking chess or not yesterday and will do in the week ahead?
