@Seasino I have this in my playlist, all parts of the entire interview. On the first video i noticed this notice by Youtube..."This video is unlisted. Only those with the link can see it."
The birth story was cool. Its like the universe demanded he exist.
I know that feeling of "I could do that" as more than just "anyone could do that, a monkey could do that". To see or hear something and to see that indescribable thing in it that, to feel the seed of what could be your destiny, is beyond description. Its like falling in love with an idea.

'When the door bell would ring', which just means, that his mother assumed, it could be her stalking husband. Doesn't imply, that it was actually him.
@FrankeeFraud "I saw the fear in her when the doorbell would ring". Big difference. His mom was scared that is might be his dad, not that is WAS his dad. He said that didn't stop until after his dad died.
what a superstitious crap!...he bags religions and popular beliefs, and he then believes these things things...looking at how he describes his birth...disappointing.
@Pakman78 He tries to make you think. If you read Brain Droppings, he says to take none of it seriously. The only thing he was against was bullshit without a reason. He didn't want death to millions. He grew up Catholic and found bullshit in it and can defend it. Can you defend Catholicism? And besides, we all know birth is "sliding headfirst down a vagina into a screaming woman's lap." May Carlin's words forever survive through text and recordings.
Someone who you SHOULD look up to and learn from, not those politicians that lie and cheat. Im glad i live in his time to learn from him. Truly a great wise man. R.I.P. Gorge.

Yes, he deserved better than that no question. Not many people remember that George was around when Lenny Bruce tore the ass out of conventional comedy. Nothing was sacred to Lenny, and he blazed the trail for George. Some of George's most loved material was in his 40s and 50s, but it took age to bring out his really ruthless irony of the world we live in. Not that he didn't cross the line all his life, he just did it with more anger in his latter years, and we will always love him for it.

i cant help but to see some parallels between mine george carlins life like i didnt know my dad but i did him my mom always till this day talks about my dead dad in a positive light also its not the radio but i would also spend hours watching diffrent t.v. programs that help shape who i am even cred to george for helping with my views of the world so r.i.p. george where ever u r (heaven or hell) i hope to c u live
I just came back from New York City where I made a pilgrimage to 519 West 121st Street and paid my respects to George's apartment block where he grew up, just up the block from Union Theological Seminary and around the corner from Columbia University. "White Harlem" as George called it.
thank you george, you made my life a little more on the happy side _its good to laugh _but truth is what its all about and you even gave us that _dont belive everything your gov. tells you _allways question authority-history tells us that !!!
He was an amazing man. He was a progressive which is important to know. And many of his ideals are skewed in my opinion. But he was amazing. I have watched all of his stuff, and he just totally cracks me up.
O I CAN hear it now, sorry. he sounds like an intellectual. most comedians are not too smart. they use the word fuck every other word like a polysyndeton.
George used cursewords a lot, as did Bill Hicks. To say that that's because they weren't intelligent is ridiculous, they're two of the smartest men I've ever come across.
I can't imagine that there's a stupid comedian who is successful. It's got to be one of the most difficult performance arts. You have to calculate so much in relation to your audience while still writing at least somewhat original material and delivering it in a distinct way. Dumb asses wouldn't even know where to start.
R.I.P died at 71 but well life forever yes that long time may joe bless you, may the sun mourn your death, may your soul go to that garage in buffalo, you'll be missed but never forgotten and your impact on the world will remain
George had a heart condition, and he knew it, he had 2 previous heart attacks. He went to the hospital because of chest pains & shortness of breath, but he died before the doctors could do anything. He was 70. I don't think it matter how long you live, but what you do with the time you have. And George certainly left his mark.
Why did he had to die? I just love this man and i dont want to believe he is dead because then i am left with the rest of Boll sheet you see on the TV.

I just came back from New York City where I made a pilgrimage to 519 West 121st Street and paid my respects to George's apartment block where he grew up, just up the block from Union Theological Seminary and around the corner from Columbia University. "White Harlem" as George called it.

He was an amazing man. He was a progressive which is important to know. And many of his ideals are skewed in my opinion. But he was amazing. I have watched all of his stuff, and he just totally cracks me up.

O I CAN hear it now, sorry. he sounds like an intellectual. most comedians are not too smart. they use the word fuck every other word like a polysyndeton.
justintimeisill 2 years ago 3
George used cursewords a lot, as did Bill Hicks. To say that that's because they weren't intelligent is ridiculous, they're two of the smartest men I've ever come across.
godessceline 2 years ago 7
Lack of usage of the word fuck does not constitue intelligence, neither does the opposite make someone non-intelligent.

I can't imagine that there's a stupid comedian who is successful. It's got to be one of the most difficult performance arts. You have to calculate so much in relation to your audience while still writing at least somewhat original material and delivering it in a distinct way. Dumb asses wouldn't even know where to start.

Having seen so much of his standup, it's funny to find he's actually pretty calm and controlled in real life. His voice is sort of hypnotic...

George Carlin would not approve of your attempted censorship... You know you wouldn't accept his comments.
You don't have to accept this one, just think about it.

George had a heart condition, and he knew it, he had 2 previous heart attacks. He went to the hospital because of chest pains & shortness of breath, but he died before the doctors could do anything. He was 70. I don't think it matter how long you live, but what you do with the time you have. And George certainly left his mark.
LeoMikey80 2 years ago 22
70 is HUGE especially with all these celebrities dying tin recent days.
