ok pal, you need to get your facts straight before you speak of what you dont know. 1st off we dont have 82 fast food restuarants. 2nd the "fantastic" fire dept you spoke of serves a town of 1000 (not 300) as well as the traveling public when an accident occurs. 3rd off...you traveled 100 miles for a Gyro (pronounced YEE-ROW..not HERO)?!?! you must be out of your mind!
no kidding lol, when my family moved to Baker in 1972 the pop was 490, IT HS GROWN SINCE THEN!! and I lived there till 1996, seems that all the city folks like to make up their fantasies about what Baker is all about, but clueless they are.
You drove all the way to Baker for the Mad Greek! Can't blame you though...sometimes I have a jones for Tommy's Original in Barstow or Baker's Hamburgers in Hesperia.
It gets so damn hot there in the summer.
