I dont know if these guys ever been to the dominican republic. there are plenty of hotels and if its a International event like the WBC there are pletny of rich dominicans that would go to see dominicana vs puerto rico or DR against anybody and the stadiums are ready because if they were'nt americans would'nt come and play here during the winter so it shows how much these guys know about what they are talking about

These Mexicans don't know shit. Actually the dominican peso is stronger than the mexican, and they are a lot bigger baseball fans in Dominican republic, so if mexico can fill a stadium, so can dominican republic. Plus there is a large population of middle class. dominicans who love baseball, in DR puerto rico and the U.S. who would travel or pay their relatives to see the games. It's just one game, an the most important game played ever three years.

Second of all, were you at the Caribbean World Series this year? Because I was and I saw, first hand, that people weren't willing to pay $65 per ticket.

No one is denying the passion of Dominican fans when it comes to baseball. But economics and baseball are two very different things that go hand in hand in this case.

i agree with you about the economy situation bur not with the hotels in the domiminican, this is the most we have, there are more than we need and the stadiums here are in good conditions specificly the aguilas stadium and we never say we want to host the semifinals or the finals, we just want one game ONE GAME in the first round of the WBC; but i have to admit you´re right in most of the facts.
