I just would to ask about this kit, I am planning to make a robot, I am doing electronics engineering i have covered a lot of microcomputer system stuff and know how to program on C, C++, Java and little bit matlab.
I am just wondering if I can program this kit, the robot is a gift to a very special person to me so i am trying to go for something nice.

@khaledmalsalman i'm open for questions :) btw it is programmed in PBASIC (variation of basic), and also Basic Stamp II is not open source, so I don't know if you will be able to program it in C or Java...however pbasic is very simple :P let me know if you need any more info
I am actually getting my kit in the next few days with sayit module and 4 ping sensor plus a solar device that could provide 30 wat.
I also looked at the way it the robot gets programmed and I think i will be able to program on Basic.
just a small question, is it possible for boe bot to talk? for example i got the sayit module which will make me able to ask him by a voice command, if i ask how he is he says fine?
@khaledmalsalman i believe you can, but you need additional hardware (sayit will probably do the trick), but I have never looked into it...guess you're on your own :P but yeah, i'm 99% sure you can do it
(also, you will need some sort of a speaker. i don't know if sayit has it, but the robot only has a piezzo speaker, which is in this case useless)
@RokSrakaCar There is a device in parallax store called AP-16+ Audio Player
as far as i understood you can put an SD memory card with audio files, for example i record everything and save them in the memory, then put commands on the sayit module that ask to play that specific audio file from the SD.
