i just got mine about an hour ago.. ! amazing.. i had a little trouble with the editor software, but to be honest it's not terribly hard to program from the panel.. and it wins the best preset name"hiwaypatrolbass" and like it oughta it sounds like the intro to chips!!

My opinion is that it does not happen anymore ever.

TB-303 story was unik. IMHO closest thing to that was C64 SID chip. It had its personal sound also and at some phase C64's were just thrown away.

Considering how much they made those it it's now pretty rare thing..

But nowadays electronics are getting better and cheaper fast.

Nothing can stop engineers from creating even better sounding equipments in future. Markets are growing which means more and more products.

yikes!somebody's having fun!!! well.., i'll be ordering one very shortly, nothing like pure 100% ANALOg!!would you tell me please, if the knobs are easily pluckable to replace? and how is the general construction of the enclosure? this has to be the UgliESt design going right now and Ugly bad! this would be so kinky with some chrome and wood, i mean for a TOTAL analog box it sure looks DIGITAL!!!!

it's a pure analog synth for 400 bucks! Not to mention it uses the prophet voice. Quit yer whining and be glad Dave was cool enough to bestow this amazing piece on us. I'm especially grateful because i've spent an arm and a leg on my studio set-up already. An analog synth was really the only thing I was lacking. Was saving up for a Little Phatty, but at this price I'm getting one next week.

Technically, it's not 100% PURE analog, as is the case with any synth that uses DCO's instead of VCO's (i.e. the wave generators are under digital control with DCO's). But it still looks to be a nice little box at a great price, and a lot of the demos do sound very good.

Happily enough the Little Phatty tunes itself(!) and it has real VCOs and a true 100% analog signal path. I would really like to have a mopho too
