Back on days, lvl 1-10 feels fun, 10-20 begin to start adding buddy, 21-30 PQ kerning =D [PQ is the best,tracking, waiting teams to come out, spam clickkk!!] 30-35 lvl so hard on wild boar, 35-50 Ludi PQ[BEST PQ EVER!]50 above started to train hardly! everyday, everynite,PQ at Orbis, items was freaking rare and expensive, we use to have 1 millions and feel happy... until BIG BANG,freaking maps,mobs,level became fast,jobs and jobs cames out,the whole games ruin. i QUITED and i MISS old maple v_v
I remember how when Maple first came out, and level 120 was the max, and when Tiger used to play. How Crimson Balrog was the ultimate badass, and my mage turned out to be the opposite of the actual mage. It took me 2 years of odd playing to reach 54... and I reached 54 in a day.
@EliteSwabby I feel like maple began getting bad once pirate was introduced. Pirate got really good reception so nexon decided to introduce a bunch of new classes which made the game worse and worse.
@EliteSwabby I don't find Maple got WORSE, just easier. I mean, getting to level 30 used to take me and my friend a month, now I can get to atleast 120 in a week, without "no-lifing" Lols. Maple is still fun to me, damage whore or not, lols. But yeah, I mean, I DO prefer old Maple more than New Maple because it was so much more of a challenge.
@VinceBroo Easier IS worse. You basically said it yourself: Making MS easier takes away the challenge, if there's no challenge there's no meaning in lvling, if there's no meaning in lvling there's no satisfaction.
Ofcourse, there were other things that made MS fun to play. There were people socialising, you could explore stuff. But what made maple really fun to me, was reaching a new lvl.
@EliteSwabby I'd say when cyngus came out in summer of 2009. At that time they also lowered the amount of exp you needed to lvl as well. After that, that's when maple went downhill. New classes were coming out like every 3 or 4 frickin months, it was crazy. Then Big Bang came and that is what delivered the final blow.

What can you say about old MS that hasnt been said already? simply the best! When you had to actually get Scrolls/equips from drops, not the MTS. Before there were spinoff classes of the original 4.(besides pirates), I go to the nexon website once in a long while to see whats new and whats happening with the game, and it makes me Reminisce about when I was playing and patches were such a big deal, which brings me to these Videos =)
and FUN! Training with friends, guildies...anybody you encountered....it was so much fun!

The second it was hard to compete with other classes people lost spirit, they can't make excuses for maplestory devoloping. It was nice and very fun 2006~2009. But people saying that maplestory is ruined is out of the question. In my opinion if that WAS the case then i would say maplestory fuked itslef when they released potential iteams. From there on it just got "worse"

It may look like this game is getting better all the time, with all new updates, classes and "improvements", but I fear, the true age of Maple Story is over.
Last time when the max level was 70, people were complaining that it was too grindy, you needed to kill like 30,000 monsters to get to level once at level 40+, then, when 4th job came out, that was the point where maplestory had the huge sucess, it was not to grindy and it was not TOO easy to level up, just the perfect game. Now, i could level up to 70 in 2-3 days, lets just accept the fact that the Maplestory now is this way, NEXON cannot change it back.
Back in the days of days,where there was real maplestory heroes,that fought together,instead of 1 man armys like mechs soloing bosses that were nearly invincible back then,Maplestorys real character has failed,I wish we could all go back -_-

@Kallico yes i agree with kallico the exp is much faster and pots are less expensive now but there are more hackers,nexon killed the balanced and made "over powered" jobs,Nexon makes exp bonus events which forces people to play after hours just for a decent map to lvl,no on quests anymore,pqs are screwed,everything is about nx now like you need nx to be able to master a skill(dualbladers), they keep making jobs that are easier to ks others, and now theres gonna be even more new jobs and Pvp.

Guys, It's not Nexon's fault that MapleStory has become like this. Think... in 2007 the first Private Servers came out and a lot of player from GMS went to those PS, so Nexon had to do something about it and that's why Nexon kept adding and updating stuff, as a result of the MapleStory is today. Ofc i would want the old days back, even leveling was a hell... it was much more fun than today... :(

the direction that maplestory has taken now.. i dont even recognize it anymore. thats why i quit 3 months ago. but the memories of fun are still with me. i remember the enormous feat it took to get to level 30. i remember getting my first 1m and though i was the richest guy in the world. i remember the first set of kumbis i got for 200k. now its all about the grind. back then you could walk around the maple world and make friends instantly. i want a time machine to experience it all over again

in ems for like 1 year.. i did such a run.. but we failed :(( .. we were like 20 ppls lvl 100-150 it was just so much fun :P my first run ,i were a lvl 101 dk and i was after one of the most epic bandit (at that time) the last ones..i guess i 'll never have such an epic run ever :]

first started playing maple 2006 started a noob made a magician and failed cuz i put magic guard on instead of magic claw lol then i usd a double axe for weapon
2nd made a new character he is now lvl 61. it took me 1 year to lvl from 55 to 56 cuz i was so busy playing with friends and hanging out(not hene hoe XD)
I remember when Pirate came out everybody was so excited.

Nexon has fucked up over the years. Now its almost impossible to do anything.
I remember when I first got 2nd job after being hacked and scammed many times, Only because I knew in the end it was worth it. But now I don't think I could ever do that. Sometimes I wish I could. Now they've completely changed the entire game, and its not as fun.

@Kallico yes i agree with kallico the exp is much faster and pots are less expensive now but there are more hackers,nexon killed the balanced and made "over powered" jobs,Nexon makes exp bonus events which forces people to play after hours just for a decent map to lvl,no on quests anymore,pqs are screwed,everything is about nx now like you need nx to be able to master a skill(dualbladers), they keep making jobs that are easier to ks others, and now theres gonna be even more new jobs and Pvp.

Guys, It's not Nexon's fault that MapleStory has become like this. Think... in 2007 the first Private Servers came out and a lot of player from GMS went to those PS, so Nexon had to do something about it and that's why Nexon kept adding and updating stuff, as a result of the MapleStory is today. Ofc i would want the old days back, even leveling was a hell... it was much more fun than today... :(

OK guys I'm not saying maple is better now compared to it 4 years ago but I'm guessing Nexon did this all so all maplers can experience doing high level party quests and killing high level bosses not just the people who stay up all night trying to get to level 200, but that's just my opinion.

the direction that maplestory has taken now.. i dont even recognize it anymore. thats why i quit 3 months ago. but the memories of fun are still with me. i remember the enormous feat it took to get to level 30. i remember getting my first 1m and though i was the richest guy in the world. i remember the first set of kumbis i got for 200k. now its all about the grind. back then you could walk around the maple world and make friends instantly. i want a time machine to experience it all over again
