  • ESEE Knives dropped the girl in favor of a man walking through a MaryJuWanna patch carrying (and I'm not kidding here) an "anti-narcotic" knife. Yep, an anti-narcotic knife. LOL. Who are they marketing to? If I were fortunate enough to come upon a pot field I'd be wanting a scythe and a large, sturdy bag.

  • Great review! I agree... keep the model

  • het nutn would you get the esee 3 mil or esee 3

  • @campinggear1 The Esee 3 is the same as the RC-3 basically. From what I understand RAT just changed there name to ESEE shortly after the contract ended with Ontario knives. The Esee 4 is AWESOME btw, got my cousin one for his job (he cuts ground tile and is using the knife all day every day in a semi-abusive manor and doesn't ever stop praising it) and the 3 is just a touch shorter with the glass braking pommel. I plan on getting the 3, looks awesome!

  • Yeah ... okay.

  • i wish they'd make a stainless version of this knife. keeping it oiled and rust free is too much work

  • i think i will pick my eskabar with some scales over the rc3 it weighs less and has the same cutting edge distance, or really close. and not only that its cheaper. however you can only get it in black): if becker and esee would make a eskabar with tan or od i would by a couple of each!

  • in sweden that blond girl is avrage ;)

  • Should I get a Rat 3, or another Kabar heavy bowie? The Bowie is cheaper yet I can break the Rat 3 and get it replaced, even if I smashed it with a cinder block .

  • rat has signed a new contractwith esee.... and the esee website doesn't have that girl on the website :( damn

  • @TheTobyKing

rat IS esee. they just changed their name.

  • Hey 1095 is good enough when they back it with the best warranty in the business. If you pay 150 or less for a knife like the esee 5 or 100 or less for the esee 3 you get high value because you can smash it up with a hammer and they replace it no questions asked :), for life

  • i would buy every knife just to see her :D im looking for a really good skinning knife can you help me out?

  • i would buy every knife just to see her :D

  • yah i think now it is called the eese-3

  • have they changed their logo

  • Has anyone seen the Esee RC-3MIL? I would like to see a review on this one.

  • hey nuthinfancy there was no need to show the model

  • That powder coating on the blade is just beautiful.

  • Hi nutnfancy plz reply to this there is a knife i have seen on google images called Manticuda VFK Tactical Knife

is it a real knife and if so where can i buy one because i dont trust the page its on thank u

  • @50cliber google it. find other websites. if its real then itll be on other sites.

  • @MATTNATTMATT thanx

  • @50cliber and yes it is.

  • Does anyone know where you can get this knife now for UNDER 100 bucks? Ive been searching around and all are 100+ bucks ><

  • @RenmarStriff yah check amazon

  • @RenmarStriff check amazon

  • She is hot ^_^

  • Talking about the hot babe on the website... "Small Tactical" That's what she said... lol -Nax

  • I have seen the RC3 used to skin a deer, it went very well.

  • i wonder why he turned the camera off...? oh yeah he was saying "bye" the the blond babe...

  • I can't find your review on a esee-5. Have you done one. If not PLEASE! Thanks for everything brother.

  • I'm living these knife reviews

  • haha has mrs. nutn seen this?

  • I will trade all my knives for "five dirty minutes" with that blonde knife babe haha...

    Be safe.

  • I went to walmart and got some button snaps. They are not great but it adds a lil security to the straps. meh

  • does the girl come with the knife. if so i'm sold

  • @spartanprepper I am looking at the website now and I don't see her anymore. =(

  • NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT LEAVE HER MAYBE SHE COULD TALK 4 U INSTEAD OF U TALKIN OR GO BACK WHILE UR TALKIN. BUT IM GOIN TO THE WEB SIGHT

  • Why no comments on the bare chest guy on the left? LOL

  • help me out, i cant decide whether to order one in tan or black.

  • @FlamingFury5 I'll order the blonde one

  • Hey Nutnfancy, I went looking for the RC-3 on the RAT website. I know this video is 2 years old, so RAT is now named ESEE. I ran into the ESEE H.E.S.T. What do you think of the ESEE H.E.S.T vs The RC-3? Can you review it (H.E.S.T)?

  • @pyrodude316 he would show that but dont forget its a g-rated channel

  • Philosophy of use ???? WTF ... IT"S a KNIFE !!!!

  • @peterm3964 knives are used for many different things tactical, everyday carry (edc), survival, kitchen, ect,

  • Dude! She's a total babe! Lol

  • that guy with his shirt off is hot too. I'd kinda rather he put a shirt on and the woman take hers of tho.

  • the orange one is kinda gross, but i definitely want to get the satin plain blade with the green micarta handle. Although, for a folder, my RAT 1 kicks ass all the time and it stows away much easier, (even if it's a lighter duty knife).

  • i likey!

  • Bright green line is a plastic insert. Micarta absorbs moisture, the insert is there to keep the micarta off the tang.

  • What do you think of ESEE knives compare to RC-3 ??

  • @urkingod just a rename of the company, it is the same knife.

  • how much is this knife from there site with sheath and and all

  • I have a rc-3 in the desert tan. I just collect knifes. I have a pink izula coming in the mail. I can't wait!!!!!

  • hahaha "she is a total babe" hellz yea she is

  • lol u were like she is HOT lol

  • she has nice... she has nice...

    damm stupid G rate

  • HI Nutnfancy! GASP, Randall won't ship to Canada! ARRRGGHHH! No RC-3 for me. Keep up the good work my man,

  • @SerratedEdges1 There are official ESEE knives dealers in Canada, in the knives and gear page, under "resources & gear"

  • @thwolf762 Thanks man, I didn't see that. I'll check it out.

  • can i carry this knife on my waist band hidden? in california?

  • I believe CA has a 2" blade limit.

  • @dpw1989

CA doesn't have a length limit. No butterfly, assisted opening, switchblades, daggers, cane swords, belt buckle knives, and some others are entirely outlawed. I'm almost positive that there is no limit, but I'd still look it up to make sure :)

  • @hulkbuster1026

not hidden. in California a fixed blade knife can be carried but it has to be displayed openly

  • Sure, just don't tell the cops.

  • i dont think so not hidden because then i think that would be carrying a concealed weapon but im not sure

  • Thanks, your knife reviews are very helpful for me when I am about to buy a knife. It'ld be great if you could make a review, presenting all available RAT RC-Models together to have a visual impression of their individual sizes. As here in Germany you are only allowed to wear knifes up to 4.7 inches of blade lenght this would be helpful. A review of the RAT H.E.S.T. also would be great. Regards from Germany.

  • @MossCrawler I agree, a side by side comparison would be very beneficial. I'm trying to decide between a 5 and 6 right now

  • i hate to say it, but im pretty sure that's a caiman not a gator, and thumbs up to the hot chick!

  • Too bad they didn't use G-10 for the handle instead of micarta. G-10 won't soak up stuff like micarta.

  • The orange one is G10, the green one is Linen micarta and the tan one is Canvas micarta.

  • Could you get an RC-6 knife for review?? To little vids about it on youtube :(

    Great review keep em coming

  • I just bought one for under 90 (shipped) on ebay.

  • hmm...i do like the glass breaker pommel on the rc-3. thanks for the insight.

  • it would not be an edc for me. i would primarily use it for hunting/bush work. i still dont know though.

  • Ive been researching the RAT knives all over the net for the last couple days and Ive decided to go with the RC-3 for a general use knife. The RC-3 and RC-4 are neither one designed to be a chopper, etc. I think for a general/light use knife, the RC-3 will be my choice. Now, do I get the Desert Tan version or the Mil Version?! Nutnfancy, one thing Ill add to your video is why the heck did they put that butt ugly brown sheath with the black blade and grayish micarta? Black or green FTW!

  • Get the MIl

  • I am considering purchasing this knife, but am torn between it and the rc-4. my only concerns are that the rc-3 blade is too thin or too short. any thoughts about which is better?

  • I've got the same predicament. I think if you aren't going to carry this knife every day, the RC-4 might be a little better choice for a camping/bush knife. Whatcha say nutnfancy?

  • you should look at there warranty page on there website you will lyao

  • it's a shame that the black one has such ugly green liners.

  • How can you claimed not to kiss up to RAT cutlery and talk almost entire time how awesome their website is and how cool the owner is, come on be real!

  • Becuase he like the knife

  • I just looked up the price of this knife on their forum, and it was like $170. That's way too expensive.

  • LOL! Nutn probably would like to see her in custom coyote brown kydex panties! Might be a bit painful in a thong! Can you say "Victoria's Secret Tactical"?! How about lingerie with MOLLE mounts... I'll stop there before I pass out laughing!

    thanks Nutn

  • Hahaha, absolutely hilarious!! Love all your reviews too :)

  • do they make a plain edg RC 3

  • they make the s.w.a.t. i think it might be the same length as the rc-3, and it's plain edge.

  • yes

  • nutnfancys the man keepin it objective, but its cool he gets the knives to review free.

  • if you wanna see the hot chick rather than watching the video then go on the website and ignore the vid or just pause the vid when it shows her

  • This is really off topic but it has to be said. You have a mac! Yes, spread the word haha. I give you props.

  • Its cause Nutn knows what works. I

  • LOL@comment about the hotty :D good taste

  • do u have a mac?

  • Obviously its an Apple Operating system.

  • I have the orange rc4 and I use it as a deer knife. It came very, sharp, easy to sharpen, very comfortable, and easy to see in dark, easy to find on ground, super confidence inspiring when cutting branches to clear shooting lanes. Great sheath. It is a huge value in my mind.

  • Hi Nutin'. Huge fan, you've said you check all your comments so I hope you get this. If I may point something out, you might want to remove the annotation at 14:25 referring to the Benchmade CSK II after what happened to that blade in the field regarding its failure.

  • I like the intro music on this one

  • the green "lines" spacers so the scales seat good

  • i got a stainless steel machete from cold steel

  • ...you don't like looking at pretty girls? SMH

  • no I prefer pretty knives and guns

  • Yo does your wife know you are checking out "knife models"??

    :)

  • Rat Cutlery makes an awesome firestarter now.

  • the annotation is funny.

  • lol sweet into music feels like i'm in the 70's lol nice vid and knives

  • Thank God, you're a Mac user.

  • man i thought you were married.

  • For a wilderness blade, I prefer to lubricate with USP grade mineral oil which I keep in a small spray bottle.

Doesn't matter that it won't stick as well to the metal. I just lubricate more often as needed.

This has the advantage of being totally food-safe, so i can use the knife for any and all camp chores without worrying about toxins, carcinogens or funky tastes in my food.

  • where can i find this oil?

  • At a drug store.

  • Thank you

  • yo nutnfancy you should do "hot model' reviews too! lol

  • i have an older knife, that i got from my grandpa that has a brown sheath, i think it may be leather. do u know where i can get a new strap for it?

  • its like randle emails you "thats my duaghter" lol

  • I'm in the same situation, looking at the RC-3 and the Fallkniven F1. Between the RAT's handle & pointed pommel design, cool tan & OD option, and the made-in-America factor, I'm leaning pretty solidly to the RAT right now. I may need to look at the RC-4 and A1 now as well, for a bit more knife. Good luck.

  • wish fallkniven had a better website, debating between a RC-4 and a Fallkniven A1, gonna be tough :p

  • cant go wrong on both... ;)

but if you hike alot you may wanna consider the Fallkniven...because it is rust free... =)

  • I normally hate serrations. But the ones on this knife are almost acceptable. Because the the serrations remain level with the rest of the blade, it looks like it would be easier to sharpen. I don't like when serrations are ground way up into the blade. Great video, 5/5

  • Very good review, I have the rat 3 and like it alot. I am considering getting the RC3 also. I have several ..go bags and dont like to pull items from one to the other.

    Scott

    St Louis MO

  • from my initial research it looks like the switch from Ontario has also increased costs.

  • does she come with the knife?!?!

  • Maybe she can be sent in for review...

  • i've found a great deal on RAT-3, yeah its ontario, but what ever. for $58.48 you can't beat that price! i'd like to one day it a RAT RC-3 or maybe RC-4. but for now i'm going with a great knife at a great price.

  • How come the two sheath, the black sheath does not have the belt loop? It only has the plastic mold?

  • well, that "belt loop", is actually a molle attachment

  • What do the Germans have to do with it? :)

  • Just got mine in the mail today! :)

  • Thanks Jeff!

  • My only problem is that if I was going with a three in blade i would def go with a folder. I don't believe that you should be doing anything with a three inch blade that would be too much for a folder. If you're in a survival or fighting capacity you should really have a longer blade

    NF freakin rocks though

  • three inches is quite enough to do damage if need be. its what you dont see coming becomes the most dangerous. compact and quick from the draw is key in protection.

  • lol wtf was that when you were talking about the model.... "Jeff GOOOOD Job!!!" you make it sound like he's hitting that....

knives and hot women... good stuff

  • Great Review. That was very cool that Rat sent you these for the Review. Verry cool

  • I don't care what anyone says man. Your great at what you do. Keep up the good work.

  • This is a table review not a user review. He does a lot of user reviews when he has the time to do them outdoors. I think it's you that needs to go outside and take a breather.

  • ITS A F**CKING TABLETOP REVIEW

  • Don't watch it then and shut your damn mouth. Punk

  • Once again a great review nutnfancy. I see that you have been adding few pop ups in your videos. Thank you for taking the time to be improving the polish on your videos. Wow i like knife way too much. LOL

  • I would like if you would review the Rajah 1 or 2 of cold steel

    good video

  • Great review man. I had to get one after I saw this. I was looking for a new knife and am really glad I stumbled across your video.

  • Great intresting reviewes nutnfancy!//Krister, Sweden.

  • i'm waitin for that izulu! I may have to get this and the izulu!!

  • Good to see my sister got the Randle modeling gig

  • That orange / black combo is killer! I may have to pick one up

  • I searched the RC-3 on their website, and there are asking around 160. How come it so much cheaper at yourcorner store ( so you say)? just wondering

  • It's less expensive at their dealers, since they probably buy in bulk and have their own attributed prices.

  • I think a very cool sheath for this wonderful knife would be a sheath like Blackhawk's SERPA holsters. Great vid.

  • I recently bought my RC-3 with the Green handle and tan blade. I love it. I am looking foward the RC-6 and the new Izula knife.

  • This is the single longest video I ahve sen on youtube to date, but........I watched it twice, lol once again, very nice video!

  • nicee

  • hey NF another great review. 5/5 stars

What I really like is that this review shows that the NF project is gaining momentum and stature as knives are now being sent to you by the manufacturers for review.

That shows how influential they believe you are!

That means more insightful reviews for the NF faithful!

    Thanks man.

  • She is super SWEET!

  • nice to see these knives side by side finally! one of the best knife reviews so far!

  • I got a RC 3, 4 and finally 6 too. Like the blades a lot; good price, nice ergonomics, nice finish - very tool-like - but....i dont like the sheaths. The RC4 has a nice kydex one but i dont like the plastic ones for the 6 and 3. Function of them is all right but i would have preferred black kydex-ones for them too.

  • LOL, G Rated Comments! I bet she wearing G something but is not Ratings :O)~

  • Hot women with cold steel...

    I LIKE!

  • I like my RAT knives there awsome

  • that model is gorgeous

  • great review its really weird i saw a custom folder that was $500+ and the steel was 440!:O

  • Great review as always! Look forward to your field test review of the RC-3 vs RAT3, and +1 on a 154cm version, that would rock!

  • great job as always, nice long review.

also nice to see that nutnfancy is on a Mac!

  • quite a vid, nutn

  • superb over 20min review

  • MAC!

    nice blade too.

  • Hey nutnfancy, I had the pleasure of toting this blade in the woods last weekend and I thought it was a great compliment to a larger fixed blade survival knife. Good job Rat Cutlery! Thanks for another great review nutnfancy.

    Merlin

  • man... those are some wickded pics/vids on that web site lol

    sweet knife

and yeah that a hot chick

    thanks nutn

  • she is hot but please keep it G LoLLLLL nice one man :)

  • lol. yeah, we do definitly need to see more of her ! ;)

  • Wow. Missed your vids for a while, but wow that is a big jump up in video production. Actual editing! Nice review keep it up.
