  • It was called Icarus, free at the time, i became ThePixelFarm's PFTrack

  • What did you track in?

  • cool test. If you've heard of mysteryguitarman...he is pretty good at this check him out...w/awesome vids

  • @BlasianTutorials he does tracking but he doesnt do 3d tracking

  • pretty good for a quick job. We're using Nuke atm at uni.

  • Great motion tracking a little off but it was great

  • Hehe, that was awesome. I want to make a music video of me playing every instrument - all in the same frames. I guess I need to learn Rotoscoping. I have CS4 and Maya. I hope I can pull it off! Wish me luck!

  • very very good!

  • very good!

  • Hey cool!, may I ask you something? Did you mask yourself in aftereffects or how did you mask it?

  • No, I used Shake

  • Oh, for my matchmoving videos I used boujou for the tracking and 3ds max. Never heard of shake :E

  • @pr0fess0r what is shake?

  • It's a compositing application initially developed by a company called Nothing Real and then bought by Apple. They've discontinued it but for a while it was one of the leading compositing apps in the business (it was used on Lord of the Rings) - look it up on Wikipedia

  • @pr0fess0r ahh colio,, ty man... how long u been doing 3d?

  • Dont take my comment seriously cause its a test comment... but does anyone ever load finished final work onto youtube or just tests??

  • You do realize that making a complete CGI work on a standalone PC is huge work.

A 10 sec footage in CGI plus the integration into a live footage , then the final rendering may take hours.. now think about making a 5 minutes video... personally, i dont want my computer to blow up :P

  • i can see the plane under the dragon model where the shadows and reflections are casted, good job over all

  • Nice & convinced - look at my movie Bisso Cat.

  • You could take the original footage without the man and use that as a reflection map on the dragon texture...

  • Hi! But how you can make reflections of the man in the dragon???

  • nice

  • Maya for the 3D, and Shake for the compositing. The dragon was laid over the top of the footage and tracked to match the background movement - it was locked to various points around the scene (except Dan who was walking). As Dan passed in front of the dragon I used rotoscoping to "cut out" the parts of the dragon he was covering up, so it looked like it was behind him :)

  • How would you do to make a 3d objets cast reflexion, but make the renders without the floor?, you said you put the same 3d footage and flip it down and well, you put some trasnsparence, but how wud u do to make it for example with a floor with "phong", and just render re reflection and the 3d?? NO background?¿

  • I'm currently using Realviz Matchmover. How do you create a matte, around your actor, so he does not get tracked?

  • Hey nice work. how did u make the guy appear in front of the little dragon?

  • Plain ordinary 2D masking, I would guess:)

  • Nice work.

  • what program did u use?
