Alaska Ranger Rescue

only 5 people died out of 47....the horrible thing is that one almost made it up to the rescue helicopter, got up grabbed the rescue guys hand....then fell....and died from impact on the water. Its horrible for everyone who died and their friends and family, but to come so close yet be so far....really....made me sad. R.I.P all.

my grandfather was the captain of the alaskan ranger at the time. He passed away. He was known as captain eric peter jacobsen! :(
