@gipperrox Not when done properly most designs of the lava trap force mobs to be killed but allows drop to move underneath the water and fall into a pit where it can then be collected from. Nevertheless this is a great design and I still keep full respect for theminecraftmuse.

@beano292 you need to have a clock with more repeaters set to the 1 (on) state, then their are repeaters set to the 0 (off) state. To set more repeaters to the 1 state place a redstone torch next to the clock and leave it their until a considerable amount of repeaters are set to 1 and then remove the torch.

@SillyLitleGirl I'd love to help, but I don't know what you mean by grid. I've built one of these and I don't know what you mean. lol I fail. If you can sorta give an idea on what a ''grid'' might be. I'd be glad to help. (i'm assuming you mean the pistons in the smash pit.)

@ZombieSlayaa What I did is put my timer on top of the monster masher, then put two detector rails down for the open and close thingy. Then I put down a mine cart and the two redstone lines that are connected to the detector rails then connect to a T-Flip Flop, then that connects to my pistons. I hope this helped!

look this is OK but the normal water trap isn't that hard to alter so it kills 100% of the time like put water held up by signs near the bottom to slow them and a CActi lava grinder to fi nsh them

The main frame is 40x40

On the inside are 4 16x16 spawning cells

Make sure it's two block in depth and width.

I made my timer on the very top of my 'MM'

You have to make the timer on your own, everyone's timer is different.

ive made a combo lava blade and drown trap with spider filter, spiders go into the drown trap so there string goes under the lava blade and the taller mobs go into the lava blade directly, i have a few videos showing it in action. completely automatic and with the new updates i can use it for an experience grinder

you know you can put the water on top of fences that way it is more guaranteed to kill the mobs and you don't have to make the water shallower or anything. Also you could build a better grinder to kill any surviving mobs of cource
