I really love the curls here, but my hair is notorious for being reluctant to hold any sort of body or curl. I've tried hairspray, teasing/ratting, gel, mousse, pomade, root booster/lifters, and everything else it seems like, but nothing has worked. By lunch time, my hair is as flat as a board. If you pin the underside up and at the base then let the tail hang down, you can shorten your hair but avoid loosing the fullness. Since you see all the ends of your hair it looks very natural. Its just a slight modification but it makes a huge difference!

Heat protectant, invest in a veryy good one. They cheap ones don't work. MY FAVORITE is CHI Silk Infusion. You can get it at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for like..... 10 dollars. So worth it, it lasts like a year.
