This is a message for anyone who doesn't think that's Cillian.

This IS the scarecrow. It says on Cillian's site he agreed to the cameo appearance, and both wikipedia and imdb say it's Cillian too.

As for the man Harvey threatens in the alley after the mayor is shot, that is NOT Cillian. For some reason everyone is confusing them. I have NO IDEA why, but whatever. The schizophrenic man is a mental patient Joker helped escape.

Scarecrow is in the second secen of the movie has about 1-2 lines then isn't in it for the rest of it.

He DOESN'T use the gas on batman or joker.

Actually, Scarecrow does work with the Joker, however he doesn't use his scarecrow mask or anything. In the scene where they attempt to assassinate the commissioner he is one of the people who shoots the gun, and then gets caught in the truck which Harvy Dent takes to an alley and beats the shit out of him :p

I heard Scarecrow and joker work together for a little bit. in the trailer it shows Joker talkig to all the bad guys and says "Heres my Card" and then scarecrow uses his gas(stuff that makes ppl crazy) on him and it doesnt affect him so then (In the movie they rob a bank which ends up putting joker in jail and the trailer scene were he's in jail and stuff putting the knifes on the table) and then Scarecrow gets put away and i think thats his part done for the movie

I think if you notice Joker comes in with Rachal and tosses her to the floor at the very beginning. I suppose he's making a bargain with Scarecrow since it's rumored Rachel tells Joker who Batman is. And then Joker probably shoots someone, I think the guy with the red jacket wearing makeup like a clown since he was acting kind of annoying (he also seems to clutch his stomach). Or Batman tosses one of his sharp bat metal things and everyone panics. Interesting clip!

I'm excited about The Dark Knight and happy that Cillian Murphy is returning as Scarecrow he will haunt Batman alot more this time than in Batman Begins. Heath Ledger will give us all a more sinister look of Jack Nicholson's Joker character and aaron Ackhart will be more violent than Tommy Lee Jones's Two-Face from Batman Forever.

True i don't know for sure if that is the joker. But if you put it on full screen and look closer it really does look like the guy has a bit of a green tint to his hair and a pale face and like i said before a purple suit. Could be wrong but you really can make out those colors a bit.
