@NinetiesYouth This is something I'm rooting for myself. The fact that it's illegal is just insane.. But anyone who actually does their research on this topic will understand why it's so bashed and censored... Cause it is that freaking amazing. Personally, I don't smoke it, but I do know people who have cured cancer and chronic pain through cannabis oil. :)
@LeijaTurunen hemp n cannibas provide the answers to all our problems - medicine, health, food product (natures most nutritious seed), bio oil, "hemp-crete" (concrete that eventually breaks down n goes back to the earth), paper, rope, fabric, clothing, cellulose plastic, homes, cars (henry Ford made one)..th properties are amazing AND wipe out th perceived need for synthetics n pharmaceuticals. this is why its so dangerous to government lol. hence "reefer madness" propoganda - wat a sick joke ;p
That's awesome you got to experience that. I recently went to the beautiful Vickie Shufer's home while she gave a wild edibles class and it was so much fun and so educational plants you wouldn't of thought to pick up and eat were edible but they were also delicious
@LeijaTurunen I am loving this. I am loving this so much. *groans in misery* I wish I were living in a place like you, Lejia. I'm SICK of living in a city.
Well, I'll make sure to keep an eye out for these plants. (^_^)
There is no shortage of food, just shortage of intelligence & guts. Never mind the properties, it's nature sweetie. The bigger part of mankinds problems is his consistant asking, lack of trust etc... you leave yourself open to anyone being able to tell you what ever for their benefit &/or your demise. When walking through nature if you feel the pull to a plant go ahead & try it. It is your body telling you, you need it & the plant offering it's fruits. Alicja Zobel thank you for your wisdom.
@1johnlangford2 I agree with your first sentence, yet I feel there's nothing wrong with knowing what something is good for. I believe it's actually a *really* good idea to know. I don't think it's smart to just walk through nature and eat whatever, unless you're so in touch with your intuition and/ or have a thorough knowledge about what's edible/ what's not. You can die if you don't know what you're doing, ie. by eating something poisonous. Haven't you ever seen the movie, "Into The Wild?" ;P
@LeijaTurunen Agreed, which is why I want to take a herbalist course to learn exciting things such as wildcrafting and learning what is actually edible. :D Thanks for sharing this with us, I love phytotherapy and herbal medicine.
@LeijaTurunen The wrong is the lack of faith in yourself & thus creation. Movies are nothing but propaganda & bs. I have eaten many things mankind has declared poisonous to find it was not true. Such as the view point on marijuana. One of the greatest resources to all things. I am not stating to run through the woods & pillage everything you see. Intuition is far more prevalent than any language or ideology. Where education fails wisdom prevails. Generally education is the doctrine to slavery.
@1johnlangford2 I do agree with most of your statements, however the movie I was referring to is actually based on a true story. The dude ACTUALLY did die because he ate some really poisonous berries.
@LeijaTurunen "Based on a true story" is exactly the point Leija. Too much water will drowned you:-). I'm sure in his next life he'll know to stay away from those berries or he will eat more of them to build his immunity. "Based on a true story" really just takes the ticket. Had I never seen a TV show or a movie. Life would have been of greater importance and endurance. Death is only prevalent to those who live in sorrow, guilt and remorse. It is the journey from life to life not it's death/end.
