I convinced my wife to take a honeymoon cruise on the Windjammer ship, 'Fantome' in August, 1996. She can't swim and is afraid of water, so it wasn't easy. The first night under way, we were laying in bed and she gasped as each wave hit the ship, while I giggled. Now, I found out that the 'Fantome' sank in a huricane 2 years later with 31 officers and crew on board. Our honeymoon cabin is now a 1400 ft. deep steel tomb in 'Davey Jone's Locker'. Whoops! :-o Should I tell her?

@wnorth6163 Thank you. The so-called 'dildo' is actually 'Gelda' - a character in the tv programme which was running in the background. I think the lady on the tv was saying 'Go to bed, Gelda'. My husband was waiting to record another giant wave, and I was reading. That's all. Glad it's aroused so much interest, though. The waves reaching that height were certainly pretty spectacular.

No, because of what happened in the video, all cruise liners will not design a ship with that capability. The only cabins that allow something like that would be the balconies. They are higher up and away from the water so it's safer for them. And I could be wrong but I don't think any ship has windows that open to the outside.
