@MrEmeraldfusion Plus, that story about nephilim is probably ancient people describing alien encounters, not "angels or demons" that's just what they thought they were.
pt2 created races hybrid nephilim(greys, reptilians etc) races, races of giants(anakim, zimzumim, raphiam)All tribes the israelites fought against they were huge beings 9ft and up search:Robert Wadlow he was huge too; and when they died the became shadows (ghosts) so of the demons were chains in the pit(2 Peter 2:4-6) These are some of the demonic spirits physics talks to and contact when the use sorcery to contact familiar spirits of the dead.
'Instead of telling them what they were doing wrong he decided to drown everyone' [Heb 11:7]-"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith." God did warn people people rejected the warning they refused to listen like today everybody does whatever they want. The naphilim/fallen angels came down and had sex with women pt1
noah worked in cubits, in the bible (lol) it clearly states the size in cubits, they actually DO match with the size of the boat this dudes whittering about. i dont believe the story either but yup the newly found boat he talks of matched size-wise. if we were gonna die on a global scale we would store all DNA strands. i think the story is way older and when we had computers the FIRST time around, some epic shit went down and they took samples and stored them. fuck my gpopa sucks in a dingy.
There was a flood in the euphrates river valley around 3000 years ago, and a sumerian king rode it out on a boat and landed on a mountain. A bunch of people kept adding shit, and now it's noah's ark. It was on Penn and Teller's show.
@BigBagsForRent2 Your calculation is off. The correct answer is that he was off by 91.2 million. Currently, known to humans there only exist 8.8 millions different species.
I actually watched a show on this today. An expert came in and took a look at the satellite images and came to the conclusion that it was just a formation of rock.
christianity is just code for crony capitalsm. I used to see it when I went to church, the more you "believed" the more popular you were and the more popular you are in life the more molla ya get. Some like Joe make it soly on his own merit and that drives the weak crazy!
where in the hell did all the other races come from? Are we all incest brothers and sisters from Noah? I wonder how all those species got along with each other for 40 days? Dumbass Christians.. Religion is evil.....
I believe that Noah's ark happened and I am not Christian. I believe a man built a boat to protect his livestock from a flood and at most he had 20 species of animals on that boat. Of course, when he told his story, it got legendized over the years to be holy.
@macbeasty Religious or not, anyone with a brain would know that it's meant to prove a point, something like that probably did happen though, it was just exaggerated to make it epic. The flood story has been around in other cultures even before Judaism came around, most religions are continuations of each other through different perspectives, while crazy unexplainable things happened on one continent something equally crazy and similar was happening some where else, but who knows.
Not all Christians believe in a global flood. The Bible isn't explicit on it being global so there's no contradiction, which is a sad thing to consider for many who want to have reasons to discredit the Bible. Those who laugh may not realize it, but they really just laugh at what is the "popular" view of the flood. As Bible believing Christians we aren't supposed to go beyond what the text gives us. It doesn't explicitly give us a global flood! It's so simple.
@solaphyde No it is not. You need help. You do understand that LONG before JC came around, there were plenty of gods before him? I hope so. The Greeks and Romans had mythical gods that ruled their world. Why is it ok to discredit their beliefs but promote christian beliefs? Joseph Smith tapped into the con that has been plaguing religions for years. Whether you're David Koresh or the dumb-fuck rapture guy, religion is the worst thing that has happened to mankind.
@MadLip78 Even Socrates alluded to the problem of polytheism, and there would have to be an ultimate God. Scripture is the only revelation of God being eternal and also triune, which is the bases for logic and morality. So on that score, Christianity wins and will only win. Hey, after all, there can only be one true truth.
Also, to be "religious" in essence is to have a firm set of principles. In that sense, you're religious along with Rogan and every person ever.
@solaphyde Religious? Are you kiddin' me? You just labeled Rogan and I as religious? You are one warped mother fucker. "Scripture is the only revelation of God being eternal and also triune, which is the bases for logic and morality." Religion defies all logic by leaps and bounds. You are so arrogant and self-righteous, that you believe "Christianity wins and will only win." You pray to god all you want. Praying to god seems to work out for all the cultures in the world. You are an idiot.
@MadLip78 Again, to be "religious" essentially is having a firm set of beliefs. You and Rogan have this, so you're just as religious as anyone you call religous. You have a view of the world that seems most right to you, as opposed to other views, and so does Rogan.
How does your worldview account for absolute truth? How does it account for why we ought to be rational? Is it because of star dust or an eternal God or something else? Lol, so if you believe you're right are you arrogant too?
@solaphyde No, no, no! Are you being serious? I'm really trying hard to understand your point of view. Religion does not necessarily equal a firm set of beliefs. You just made that up. Please educate me and tell me what god I am supposed to follow: The christian god? the jewish god? the mormon god? the egyptian gods? the taliban gods? the roman gods? the greek gods? I never said I am right; I was just portraying that I'm logical (something religion has a hard time with).
@MadLip78 Sure, but I am being serious. You're only trying hard to avoid being called "religious", yet you're no different in essense since you have a view of the world that seems right to you. 1. only the Christian God accounts for morality and logic so in a sense you assume his existence, but may supress it as Rom 1:18-20 says we do, 2. you don't need to believe in a "god" to have a firm set of beliefs about the world if you're maybe a "naturalist", or something else. What are you then?
40 days 40 nights is a theme that reoccurs throught the bible. Its simplyl numerology to account for the time between seasons represent full strenght of winter(darkness, coldness, death evilness) and reciprocally the strenght of summer(lightness, warmth, birth, &goodness). It takes 40 days for the sun to effect all its strenght in summer, and weakness of winter. Its all astrology based on the movement of the sun and seasons, and nothing more. A nice fairy tale story woven around it hence the ark
Ok if we basically know that Jesus is a remake of Horus n the bible is a parody of the sun, out of the dozens of historians who were alive only 3 vaguely document him then WTF makes u think I'll believe Noah was real haha
Also, even liberal scholars would disagree with you. Dominic Crossan and Bart Erhman both believe in the historical Jesus and count many books of the new testament as contemporenious sources of Jesus' historical existance. They even laugh at scholars who don't believe in his historical existence and call them extremists who just want to sell books. The Bible has more manuscript evidence (5,700 manuscipts) than any ancient writing from antiquity. Sorry, but you really don't know the facts.
@MrAshaka1 Wow! Wow! What amazing claims which are so easily regurgitated on the internet. This debate has already been won in the scholarly level, it's just that the internet keeps it alive for the ignorant. Look at the debate between James White and Dan Barker over Jesus and Mythology. Even atheists on the internet critique the Zietgeist film and point out it's errors, including the fact that Horus only had 4 desciples, and was born in a swamp not a cave. Hardly any correlation.
@sk8erg466 Is your doubt personal or is it based on some form of evidence or data that shows that Noah is a fairy tale? If its personal then I have no quarrel. However, if your doubt is based on some data then produce this data that supposedly show the Noah event to be a fairy tale.
Read about the genetic diversity of cheetah or other highly inbred animals. They are basically clones of each others.
If all the animals in the world had gone through a genetic bottle neck at the same time there would be markers in our dna showing it, and we would all be basicly clones of one another.
The story was the results of superstitious and scientifically illiterate people trying to explain life.
They where ignorant by necessity whats your excuse?
@qarohc "Read about the genetic diversity of cheetah or other highly inbred animals. They are basically clones of each others." Human and animal reproduction through birthing is not the same as cloning. You error on this matter.
man you are smug and stupid, btw this is not an ad hominem attack it is just an attack. If i said you are stupid and smell therefore your arguments are invalid , then it is an ad hominem attack.
Loud mouth morons can be incorrect even if you call them morons.
I said they are clones of each other because they are almost exact copies of each other, genetically. They can all share skin graphs due to having no genetic diversification.
@qarohc "man you are smug and stupid" This is an ad hominem attack, but it only shows what your character is like; it shows the degradation of your mind. You show a complete void of knowldge of the Noah event. You continue to utter words void of understanding and knowledge and you offer no evidence for you claims, which are nothing but empty claims. Is this the best you can do? What a shame. Try harder may be you will get it.
@qarohc It is evident that you dont know what an ad hominem attack is. You are thoroughly wrong in your definition of ad hominen attack. Ad hominem literally means "against the man" in Latin, in philosophy and law it means "an attempt to negate the truth of a claim by pointing out a negative characteristic or belief of the person advocating it". I suggest you go study and upgrade yourself before taking any dialogue of argumentation. You clearly do not present yourself as an intelligent person.
You dont get to act like a moron then claim that no one address your idiotic claims.
i mentioned one of many objections to your flood myth, the lack of concurrent genetic bottle necks in ALL the animals you claim had only 1-3 mating pairs.
Then i mention how stupid and smug you are behaving. So you keep parroting your idiotic assertions lying about no one having any arguments against your myth, only personal attacks.
You dont understand basic biology nor basic logic.
@qarohc Also do some detailed research on genetic bottle necks. How long does a genetic drift takes? How many generations? What does genetic bottle neck prove? Genetic bottle necks only shows a reduction and a limited gene variation in a given species. You have failed to show how this prove that the Noah event did not occurr. You have failed to show that the flood did not occur. You have failed to show that the animals were not on the ark You have faild to show that there was no ark.
@qarohc Once again, HOW LONG DOES A GENETIC DRIFT TAKES? A genetic drifts has to take more than ONE generation. Noah and his family were not on the ark for 20 years; they were on the ark for ONE year. So tell me, DID A GENETIC DRIFT (BOTTLE NECK) OCCUR? No. It could not, and did not, occur. It takes many generations for a genetic bottle neck to occur (and this is according to your own evolutionary theory, which is a THEORY not a FACT).
WOA. My theory of evolution? You are a fucking creationist ? Holy shit i dint think you people knew how to use computers.
If you kill all of the population except for 1-3 breeding pairs they will all be inbreed. You know what? Fuck it i dint realize you where a creationist im wasting my time.
im just a devil trying to fool you, like the one that put all those evil dinosaur bones in the earth to confuse you.
"Human and animal reproduction through birthing is not the same as cloning."
A clone is something that is a genetic duplicate of another. Nature creates clones. Many of the species that reproduce asexually do just that, they clone themselves. The female impregnates herself and the daughters are exact genetic copies of the mother(clones).
Cheetahs had a bottle neck. Almost no other animal shares the same bottle neck. If your myth was true we all would.
@qarohc And what does cloning has to do with the Noah event? You grotesquely digress into completely unrelated issues. Show me how cloning proves Noah is a myth. Show me how genetic bottle necks prove Noah is a myth. You are way out in left field.
@qarohc "If all the animals in the world had gone through a genetic bottle neck at the same time there would be markers in our dna showing it, and we would all be basicly clones of one another." Provide your evidence for this; just mentioning it proves nothing.
@qarohc "The story was the results of superstitious and scientifically illiterate people trying to explain life." You, like Joe Rogan and many others, reveal an extreme lack of knowledge and understanding on the subject of Noah. One cannot use "superstitious and scientifically illiterate" as explanation of the Noahic event. If Noah was superstitious then prove it. If he was illiterate then prove it. Can you at least put forth a more challenging argument or is this your only rescourse?
i said scientific illiterate. These are myths based in bronze age technology, when many believed the world to be flat, starts to be placed on a firmament in the sky, people believed the world to be a few hundred ears old, diseases where caused by demons and could be fixed by sacrificing animals spreading their blood on the sick and burning the remains.
Only behind religion could some one as willfully ignorant ass yourself hide.
@qarohc "They where ignorant by necessity whats your excuse?" Ad hominem attacks only reveal what is in your own character. This is also no proof, neither discredit, the Noah event. In your statement you have went from no proof for your claim as reason for your claim to ad hominem attack as reason for your claim. Im sure you can do better than this.
@dropdead024 You are a certified FOOL, thoroughly grotesquely intellectually inept. Do you have anything sensible to say you IDIOT? Oh...I'm sorry, you do not have anything sensible to say because YOU ARE A FOOL AND AN IDIOT!
Frsupermoon keep in mind that Noah did not gather species, he gathered "kind" and from two of every kind will all species be generated or produced. Gathering two of every kind greatly reduces the number of animals aboard the ark.
A number of scientists have suggested that the animals, while on the ark, may have gone into a type of dormancy. It has been said that in nearly all groups of animals there is at least an indication of a latent ability to hibernate or aestivate. Perhaps these abilities were supernaturally intensified during this period. With their bodily functions reduced to a minimum, the burden of their care would have been greatly lightened.
The Genesis account indicates that GOD gathered the animals and brought them to Noah inside the ark two by two. Some have suggested this may have involved the origin of animal migratory instincts or, at least, an intensification of it. We also know that most animals possess the ability to sense danger and to move to a place of safety.
In Genesis 6:21 we are informed that Noah gathered all food that is eaten, what this food consisted of is not known. But knowing what kind of food the animals ate does not discount nor lend any credence to the historical fact of the flood. Your second question is based on a false assumption of geographical location. Noah did not have to go all over the world to get "two of every kind".
Since the biblical word "kind" is equivalent to the taxonomical word "family", Noah did not have to gather all variations of species, instead Noah gathered all variations of families of organisms (these will produce all variations of species). Joe Rogan, and others, need to study and research the ark before making nonsensical comments.
@MultiShinar Then what did all the "families of organisms" eat on the boat? But besides that, how did he gather all these species from all over the world. He must've been one hell of a lion, elephant, geraff, etc tamer.
The ark's gross tonnage which is a measure of cubic space (100 cubic feet is one gross ton) would be 15,100 tons. The ark's total volume would have been 1,518,000 cubic feet. This would equal the capacity of 569 modern railroad stock cars.
The displacement tonnage of the ark, which is the weight of water it would displace at a draught of 15 cubits, would be more than 22,000 tons. By comparison the U.S.S. Salem, a 716-foot-long heavy cruiser commissioned in 1949, has a displacement tonnage of 21,500 tons.
The word "species" and the biblical word "kind" do not mean the same; they are not synonymous. The biblical word "kind" is closer to the modern taxonomic unit of genus, and in some cases the larger taxonomic unit, family.
There is no God. Jesus is a myth and ALL the stories in the bibles are just that....stories, MYTHOLOGY. STOP IT, STOP IT, STOP IT!!!! STOP WHAT? All the BS, hate, racism, war, economic disaster (recent debt ceiling debacle) Misogyny, bigotry and terrorism...on and on and on... that holding MAKE BELIEVE as truth is causing in our world....
come on, even joe is a bit narrow minded here. that ark they found could be the one which noah's story was inspired from. it doesn't mean the story is 100% true.
@vladrew Actually that's kind of exactly what he's saying. That the story was probably inspired from something much more mundane (although tragic). What he's discounting are all the details of the story, god speaking to someone and that person gathering 2 of every species on Earth onto a single boat. I mean 'big' doesn't even begin to cover the size of boat you'd need. You couldn't do that with something the size of an aircraft carrier. And this guy's saying 500-600 foot boat c'mon...
@ecbelikov he did say that about the story. but he didn't say the same about the ark those guys found. it could be more than 'just a boat' and certainly less than something which carried thousands of animals on board. look up noah's ark national park. the thing's pretty impressive.
@vladrew Just did some reading on it. Unfortunately I can't seem to find anything on the scientific evidence from any non-biased sources. Every website I found with information on that thing has a very transparently religious agenda which makes me extremely cautious about believing the information wholesale. Still, even if that was a real boat (it may be a rock formation, remember the face on Mars?), it wouldn't be large enough to do the job. Thank you though that was an interesting read.
@PUPP3TMA5T3R well, many scientists are against everything that has to do with religion as much as religious fanatics are against science. and that's why they would disregard all the evidence for noah's ark for all the info to be on religious-type websites.
Science is nothing more than a reasonable, intelligent way of understanding everything in our existence. If you're against science you might as well stop using the drugs, technology, food, etc. that it has brought us.
and again, yes, reality can't match the story. but it can have some truth to it. like a flood in that area and an ark, without the animals. and the evidence for that is quite amazing. like the stone anchors. if that formation is just rock, then those anchors are even more mysterious
@PUPP3TMA5T3R Just thought I'd note, the face on mars, actually wasn't determined to be just a rock formation. You see, nasa hires like 3 different image specialists to decode the information, and render an image out of what is sent back. The first time, yes it looked like a face. The second time, it looked nothing like a face. But as technology advances, a 3rd render was done with new pictures and it actually did more accurately portray a face. Which has an odds of like 1 in 10 billion, billion.
Can anyone back the facts on how 25% of Ancient Hebrew is undeciferable? I find it to be a great agruement but I can't seem to find any relatable info.
What is the truth of the story? The gods knew of a impeding cataclysm and desired to let mankind be destroyed. A few survived on a boat and started civilization again. Sumerian text is closer to the truth.
if u try to tell a retarded kid about joe rogan's martial arts skills, they'll probly question it and be like tht pussy can't even put on a rubber guard, tht fucking fag is gonna talk my ear of about the theory of life and how pot is awesome
Of course the guy doesn't believe the story literally, but maybe 'all the animals' means all the farm animals, and maybe the 'whole world' means the entire region. Mt. Ararat being a huge peak in the middle of flat lands could very well have been where a ship of that sort landed. The story doesn't necessarily have to be complete fiction or complete truth.
@mbrishke maybe a few Christians, but if you look at the number of people who have even a so called 'biblical world view,' believing things like "Bible is totally accurate in all of the principles it teaches" not talking about truth of stories, it is only around 10% of Americans and how many of them actually think the stories are 100% true, probably much fewer..That's still a few million though, holy shit!
No Joe not crazy just insanely desperate. The bible is like a 2000+ year old leech that has plagued humanity, no more than a bunch of potential facts turned into fairy tales through years of embellishment by bored desert tribesmen.
@MMAfighter87 The Biblical account says that Noah sacrificed one of every "clean" animal after the boat landed to give thanks to his invisible friend, so he might use that to explain the animal remains. ...but again, if there were only two of every animal (for procreation), it kinda defeats the purpose of the boat ride if you go and slaughter half your livestock immediately on landfall. (and it's funny how many xians don't know about the sacrifice part)
@SmilingSkeptic, Actually, there are two different Noah stories in Genesis.
One of the stories is about the god Elohim (KJV: “God”) telling Noah to bring 2 of EVERY kind of animal, and later promising never to flood the Earth again because of the rainbow.
The other is about the god YHWH (KJV: “the LORD”) telling Noah to bring 2 of every UNCLEAN and 7 (pairs?) of every CLEAN animal and bird kind, and later promising never to flood the Earth again because Noah burned 1 each of the cleanies.
@MMAfighter87 "At 5:37 he said they found animal remains wouldnt that mean Gods plan failed??" Those were the dinosaurs and transitional up-right walking ape species duh. ;-)
I love the UFC but i never took Joe for for being too smart. After this I have changed my mind, at least in this area Joe is pretty fuckin smart. Rock on Joe, need more atheists like you out there.
@s5b678 man you need to watch more videos on joe. he is soooo fucking smart, researches everything he talks about, could debate the shit out of 85% of people. Fuckin sick dudee forsure
This is why I don't like Joe Rogan. Sure Noah's ark is bullshit but who cares what this guy thinks. The guy was obviously very embarrassed but Joe didn't care. He has no regard for peoples emotions.
@47Indigo47 Religious folk didn't care for peoples emotions a few hundred years back when they tortured/killed people simply for not agreeing with them. So why should we tolerate irrational beliefs in covnersation today? As long as people aren't killed for their beliefs we should be able to call people out on stupid bullshit like Joe did.
@47Indigo47 Well sir there is a bit of a whole in your logic. People of all races do not get to choose what color they are born. I would never judge someone based on something they could not help because that would be idiotic. However, I do have a very low tolerance for irrational bullshit which is something people can "Choose" to believe.
@47Indigo47 The dude asked for it. He's trying to persuade a COMEDIAN that a bullshit story is true... did he really think he wasnt going to get made fun of? lol
i'd like to hear what joe thinks of the 2012 apoc theory, i dont believe it personally, but he seems to back up his opinions with facts and intelligents, if he has done a speech on it could some1 reply with the vid to me
i remember i was 4 years old having a debate with a sunday school teacher about this. joe is right. as soon as the lady said 600 years old, i just knew she was full of shit-at 4 years old. hes absoutely right. its a story thats so full of shit, its hard to believe if you are 10 percent smart. i mean, a lot of people believe this story... we have a lot of fuckign stupid people on earth. and yes, they do score decent on iq tests... weird huh?
And yes, being judgmental is just a personality trait, but why are religious people known for showing prejudice to other beliefs? Their will always be people of all beliefs that judge, but Athiests are constantly being preached to... And for my cherry on top -- what about the people who knocked at my door to push their religion on me, they bitch after i politely say "sorry i'm Athiest"... Their are good and bad people of all beliefs...
@honda2363 ...I'd rather believe in something then nothing retard...and with the cherry on top...how about you get those 'statistical facts' for me ;-)
@Lifter85 Believe what you want, lol...retard. And when did religious people start wanting statistics or proof about anything, can't you just have "faith" that the statistics exist, lol. And here is a known fact -- people with higher IQ tend not to believe in god... And don't even say you have 143 IQ just to contradict me...lol.. Also god would be very upset with that attitude, so you should say 100 Hail-Mary's before bed..
@Lifter85 Thats your reasoning for being religious? because you want to believe in something rather than nothing? Im not saying theres no god, cuzz i feel that there is some form of supreme being,, i just think that every bible on this planet is 100% bullshit. cuzz people wrote them, and people lie.
@mbrishke ...i never said i believed in the bible, i said i believed in something... don't assume b/c in real life that usually gets people fucked up.
@Lifter85 No it doesn't little boy, sorry. Grown men can debate things without fighting. Besides, as an LEO, i invite you to "fuck me up" for assuming something.
ok maybe joe was a little obnoxious in this video for me. joe is correct. and that guy was a little too into the religeous aspects of what they found, but you shouldnt call that guy back there just to hate on him. that makes you a hater.
hahaha joe's face at the end when he just went back to the boat piece is fuckin priceless. Did that dude seriously listen to anything he just said, hahaha.
I grew up religious, and it's the Noah's Ark story that first made me question my religion, all the way back when I was a kid. I've been saying the same thing about Noah's Ark for years! Thumbs up, Joe
the ultra religiouious literalists are soooo boring and tiresome, cant we relocate them to their own island surrounded by shark infested waters:)) be gone crazies
@spidermew I get tht I'm all for freedom of speech and all tht good shit but as long as he not trying to push his religious views on people who cares what he believes. Thts like I'm a catholic and my friends a Jew and I say ur stupid and wrong for what u believe in me and my religion r right and yours is wrong it makes no sense to say tht because what he was taught was to believe it and tht was what happend. Idk thts my view on it
He's trying to actually inform the misguided people(such as yourself)of the TRUTH in the world, not religious lies. Pull your head out of the sand, man...
@timchilli u r trying to make urself sound smart on YouTube and nobody gives a fuck y do u care what other people choose to believe in u r the one thts ignorant. Trying to push ur ideas and opinions on other people who are prob already happy with what they believe in and what they want to believe. Anyways eat shit and die prick.
@xjoker94x Because peoples beliefs inform their actions. If a lot of your beliefs are without a basis, your actions are a lot less likely to be coherent. It is the duty of everyone to question the beliefs of others and confront them if they are not sound. Freedom of speech does not mean people have to respect what you say.

It's so simple.
solaphyde 4 months ago
@solaphyde No it is not. You need help. You do understand that LONG before JC came around, there were plenty of gods before him? I hope so. The Greeks and Romans had mythical gods that ruled their world. Why is it ok to discredit their beliefs but promote christian beliefs? Joseph Smith tapped into the con that has been plaguing religions for years. Whether you're David Koresh or the dumb-fuck rapture guy, religion is the worst thing that has happened to mankind.
MadLip78 4 months ago
@MadLip78 Even Socrates alluded to the problem of polytheism, and there would have to be an ultimate God. Scripture is the only revelation of God being eternal and also triune, which is the bases for logic and morality. So on that score, Christianity wins and will only win. Hey, after all, there can only be one true truth.
Also, to be "religious" in essence is to have a firm set of principles. In that sense, you're religious along with Rogan and every person ever.
solaphyde 4 months ago
@solaphyde Religious? Are you kiddin' me? You just labeled Rogan and I as religious? You are one warped mother fucker. "Scripture is the only revelation of God being eternal and also triune, which is the bases for logic and morality." Religion defies all logic by leaps and bounds. You are so arrogant and self-righteous, that you believe "Christianity wins and will only win." You pray to god all you want. Praying to god seems to work out for all the cultures in the world. You are an idiot.
MadLip78 4 months ago
@MadLip78 Again, to be "religious" essentially is having a firm set of beliefs. You and Rogan have this, so you're just as religious as anyone you call religous. You have a view of the world that seems most right to you, as opposed to other views, and so does Rogan.
How does your worldview account for absolute truth? How does it account for why we ought to be rational? Is it because of star dust or an eternal God or something else? Lol, so if you believe you're right are you arrogant too?
solaphyde 4 months ago
@solaphyde No, no, no! Are you being serious? I'm really trying hard to understand your point of view. Religion does not necessarily equal a firm set of beliefs. You just made that up. Please educate me and tell me what god I am supposed to follow: The christian god? the jewish god? the mormon god? the egyptian gods? the taliban gods? the roman gods? the greek gods? I never said I am right; I was just portraying that I'm logical (something religion has a hard time with).
MadLip78 3 months ago

Sorry, but you really don't know the facts.
solaphyde 4 months ago
@MrAshaka1 Wow! Wow! What amazing claims which are so easily regurgitated on the internet. This debate has already been won in the scholarly level, it's just that the internet keeps it alive for the ignorant. Look at the debate between James White and Dan Barker over Jesus and Mythology. Even atheists on the internet critique the Zietgeist film and point out it's errors, including the fact that Horus only had 4 desciples, and was born in a swamp not a cave. Hardly any correlation.

Also the animals Noah gathered were more likely babes and not full grown, thus creating even more space on the ark and less food eaten and wasted.

They where ignorant by necessity whats your excuse?
qarohc 5 months ago

man you are smug and stupid, btw this is not an ad hominem attack it is just an attack.
This is what happens in a genetic bottle neck.
qarohc 5 months ago
@qarohc "man you are smug and stupid" This is an ad hominem attack, but it only shows what your character is like; it shows the degradation of your mind. You show a complete void of knowldge of the Noah event. You continue to utter words void of understanding and knowledge and you offer no evidence for you claims, which are nothing but empty claims. Is this the best you can do? What a shame. Try harder may be you will get it.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
@MultiShinar
You dont know what an ad hominem attack is. Yet you parrot it over and over, like a get out of thinking card.
An Ad hominem attack is when a person calls you names and states that therefore no one should listen to you.
That is not what i did, i was talking about the lack of a genetic bottle neck on every living species and how this shows no such event happened.
The fact that you are to stupid (or dishonest) to understand this does not undermine my point.
qarohc 5 months ago
@qarohc It is evident that you dont know what an ad hominem attack is. You are thoroughly wrong in your definition of ad hominen attack. Ad hominem literally means "against the man" in Latin, in philosophy and law it means "an attempt to negate the truth of a claim by pointing out a negative characteristic or belief of the person advocating it". I suggest you go study and upgrade yourself before taking any dialogue of argumentation. You clearly do not present yourself as an intelligent person.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
@MultiShinar
You dont understand basic biology nor basic logic.
qarohc 5 months ago
@qarohc Also do some detailed research on genetic bottle necks. How long does a genetic drift takes? How many generations? What does genetic bottle neck prove? Genetic bottle necks only shows a reduction and a limited gene variation in a given species. You have failed to show how this prove that the Noah event did not occurr. You have failed to show that the flood did not occur. You have failed to show that the animals were not on the ark You have faild to show that there was no ark.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
@MultiShinar
Man you can copy and paste but you aparently cant read.
"Genetic bottle necks only shows a reduction and a limited gene variation in a given species."
If there is a reduction in gene variation then there are only a few of the species mating, or they are all close relatives. Sound familiar?
The myth would have caused a genetic bottle neck in all the species that where on the ark.
No bottle neck no ark, get it now?
qarohc 5 months ago
@qarohc Once again, HOW LONG DOES A GENETIC DRIFT TAKES? A genetic drifts has to take more than ONE generation. Noah and his family were not on the ark for 20 years; they were on the ark for ONE year. So tell me, DID A GENETIC DRIFT (BOTTLE NECK) OCCUR? No. It could not, and did not, occur. It takes many generations for a genetic bottle neck to occur (and this is according to your own evolutionary theory, which is a THEORY not a FACT).

If your myth was true we all would.
qarohc 5 months ago

MultiShinar 5 months ago
@MultiShinar
i said scientific illiterate. These are myths based in bronze age technology, when many believed the world to be flat, starts to be placed on a firmament in the sky, people believed the world to be a few hundred ears old, diseases where caused by demons and could be fixed by sacrificing animals spreading their blood on the sick and burning the remains.
Only behind religion could some one as willfully ignorant ass yourself hide.
qarohc 5 months ago
@qarohc "They where ignorant by necessity whats your excuse?" Ad hominem attacks only reveal what is in your own character. This is also no proof, neither discredit, the Noah event. In your statement you have went from no proof for your claim as reason for your claim to ad hominem attack as reason for your claim. Im sure you can do better than this.

Frsupermoon keep in mind that Noah did not gather species, he gathered "kind" and from two of every kind will all species be generated or produced. Gathering two of every kind greatly reduces the number of animals aboard the ark.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
A number of scientists have suggested that the animals, while on the ark, may have gone into a type of dormancy. It has been said that in nearly all groups of animals there is at least an indication of a latent ability to hibernate or aestivate. Perhaps these abilities were supernaturally intensified during this period. With their bodily functions reduced to a minimum, the burden of their care would have been greatly lightened.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
The Genesis account indicates that GOD gathered the animals and brought them to Noah inside the ark two by two. Some have suggested this may have involved the origin of animal migratory instincts or, at least, an intensification of it. We also know that most animals possess the ability to sense danger and to move to a place of safety.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
In Genesis 6:21 we are informed that Noah gathered all food that is eaten, what this food consisted of is not known. But knowing what kind of food the animals ate does not discount nor lend any credence to the historical fact of the flood. Your second question is based on a false assumption of geographical location. Noah did not have to go all over the world to get "two of every kind".
MultiShinar 5 months ago
Since the biblical word "kind" is equivalent to the taxonomical word "family", Noah did not have to gather all variations of species, instead Noah gathered all variations of families of organisms (these will produce all variations of species). Joe Rogan, and others, need to study and research the ark before making nonsensical comments.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
@MultiShinar Then what did all the "families of organisms" eat on the boat? But besides that, how did he gather all these species from all over the world. He must've been one hell of a lion, elephant, geraff, etc tamer.
frsupermoon 5 months ago
The ark's gross tonnage which is a measure of cubic space (100 cubic feet is one gross ton) would be 15,100 tons. The ark's total volume would have been 1,518,000 cubic feet. This would equal the capacity of 569 modern railroad stock cars.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
The displacement tonnage of the ark, which is the weight of water it would displace at a draught of 15 cubits, would be more than 22,000 tons. By comparison the U.S.S. Salem, a 716-foot-long heavy cruiser commissioned in 1949, has a displacement tonnage of 21,500 tons.
MultiShinar 5 months ago
The word "species" and the biblical word "kind" do not mean the same; they are not synonymous. The biblical word "kind" is closer to the modern taxonomic unit of genus, and in some cases the larger taxonomic unit, family.

come on, even joe is a bit narrow minded here. that ark they found could be the one which noah's story was inspired from. it doesn't mean the story is 100% true.
vladrew 5 months ago
@vladrew Actually that's kind of exactly what he's saying. That the story was probably inspired from something much more mundane (although tragic). What he's discounting are all the details of the story, god speaking to someone and that person gathering 2 of every species on Earth onto a single boat. I mean 'big' doesn't even begin to cover the size of boat you'd need. You couldn't do that with something the size of an aircraft carrier. And this guy's saying 500-600 foot boat c'mon...
ecbelikov 5 months ago
@ecbelikov he did say that about the story. but he didn't say the same about the ark those guys found. it could be more than 'just a boat' and certainly less than something which carried thousands of animals on board. look up noah's ark national park. the thing's pretty impressive.
vladrew 5 months ago
@vladrew Just did some reading on it. Unfortunately I can't seem to find anything on the scientific evidence from any non-biased sources. Every website I found with information on that thing has a very transparently religious agenda which makes me extremely cautious about believing the information wholesale. Still, even if that was a real boat (it may be a rock formation, remember the face on Mars?), it wouldn't be large enough to do the job. Thank you though that was an interesting read.
PUPP3TMA5T3R 5 months ago
@PUPP3TMA5T3R well, many scientists are against everything that has to do with religion as much as religious fanatics are against science. and that's why they would disregard all the evidence for noah's ark for all the info to be on religious-type websites.

and again, yes, reality can't match the story. but it can have some truth to it. like a flood in that area and an ark, without the animals. and the evidence for that is quite amazing. like the stone anchors. if that formation is just rock, then those anchors are even more mysterious
vladrew 5 months ago
@PUPP3TMA5T3R Just thought I'd note, the face on mars, actually wasn't determined to be just a rock formation. You see, nasa hires like 3 different image specialists to decode the information, and render an image out of what is sent back. The first time, yes it looked like a face. The second time, it looked nothing like a face. But as technology advances, a 3rd render was done with new pictures and it actually did more accurately portray a face. Which has an odds of like 1 in 10 billion, billion.

SmilingSkeptic 7 months ago
@SmilingSkeptic, Actually, there are two different Noah stories in Genesis.
One of the stories is about the god Elohim (KJV: “God”) telling Noah to bring 2 of EVERY kind of animal, and later promising never to flood the Earth again because of the rainbow.
The other is about the god YHWH (KJV: “the LORD”) telling Noah to bring 2 of every UNCLEAN and 7 (pairs?) of every CLEAN animal and bird kind, and later promising never to flood the Earth again because Noah burned 1 each of the cleanies.

@47Indigo47 The dude asked for it. He's trying to persuade a COMEDIAN that a bullshit story is true... did he really think he wasnt going to get made fun of? lol

i remember i was 4 years old having a debate with a sunday school teacher about this. joe is right. as soon as the lady said 600 years old, i just knew she was full of shit-at 4 years old. hes absoutely right. its a story thats so full of shit, its hard to believe if you are 10 percent smart. i mean, a lot of people believe this story... we have a lot of fuckign stupid people on earth. and yes, they do score decent on iq tests... weird huh?

Religious people are first to judge, seriously it's like a statistical fact....i think..
And saying don't hate on someone for what they believe is true, but thats what Christians do all the time, and theirs proof...
Just type the word -judgmental- in the youtube search and tell me what you find...no joke...
But honestly, we should all be allowed to believe what we want, but someone-somewhere is always gonna pass judgment.
honda2363 9 months ago
@honda2363 ...Athiests judge all the time and you 'think'... don't make references to something that you have no proper research on
Lifter85 8 months ago
@Lifter85
Their are good and bad people of all beliefs...
honda2363 8 months ago
@honda2363 ...I'd rather believe in something then nothing retard...and with the cherry on top...how about you get those 'statistical facts' for me ;-)
Lifter85 8 months ago
@Lifter85 Believe what you want, lol...retard. And when did religious people start wanting statistics or proof about anything, can't you just have "faith" that the statistics exist, lol. And here is a known fact -- people with higher IQ tend not to believe in god... And don't even say you have 143 IQ just to contradict me...lol.. Also god would be very upset with that attitude, so you should say 100 Hail-Mary's before bed..
honda2363 8 months ago
@Lifter85 Thats your reasoning for being religious? because you want to believe in something rather than nothing? Im not saying theres no god, cuzz i feel that there is some form of supreme being,, i just think that every bible on this planet is 100% bullshit. cuzz people wrote them, and people lie.
mbrishke 8 months ago
@mbrishke ...i never said i believed in the bible, i said i believed in something... don't assume b/c in real life that usually gets people fucked up.
Lifter85 8 months ago
@Lifter85 No it doesn't little boy, sorry. Grown men can debate things without fighting. Besides, as an LEO, i invite you to "fuck me up" for assuming something.

I grew up religious, and it's the Noah's Ark story that first made me question my religion, all the way back when I was a kid. I've been saying the same thing about Noah's Ark for years! Thumbs up, Joe

@timchilli u r trying to make urself sound smart on YouTube and nobody gives a fuck y do u care what other people choose to believe in u r the one thts ignorant. Trying to push ur ideas and opinions on other people who are prob already happy with what they believe in and what they want to believe. Anyways eat shit and die prick.
xjoker94x 10 months ago
@xjoker94x Because peoples beliefs inform their actions. If a lot of your beliefs are without a basis, your actions are a lot less likely to be coherent. It is the duty of everyone to question the beliefs of others and confront them if they are not sound. Freedom of speech does not mean people have to respect what you say.
