I think i know why they cut out the clip with yugis mom but im not sure if its right. In the original version yami wants to set yugi on a date with tea.

In the clip with yugis mom yugi was telling yami to stop teasing him about the date with tea so 4Kids (i think) cut it out to avoid confusion.

Actually when he becomes Yami Yugi, he never makes a physical change. He still looks like the same Yugi to everyone else. You'll notice in a many episodes, Tea and I believe Joey mention that Yugi seems different, but they never elaborate on it.

This show used to be pretty good, but then 4kids had to go and ruin the dubbing. Same thing for 5Ds, they made them all sound like chumps compared to the Japanese. It was good until the end of this season, and Waking the Dragons was good, too, even though it was filler. I'll never put down the books, though, those will always be the best.
