  • too slow !!

  • wow that things fast.

  • In the US the q45 doesn't make that noise because I have gone over 100mph in my 1990 and no noise

  • You have to remember that mine was a JDM car, and their speed limit is 180 km/h. Maybe it's a japanese only addition to the car?

  • 160 is kind of useless alert when you're all ready going way past speed limit. Can't you set it?

  • couldn't it be turned off?

  • Captain we got some on port! Brace for impact!

  • Lol. Excellent comment.

  • this is safety

  • @Dinamitfireboy

    no...... THIS IS SPARTA!!

  • ??? Why does a car have a speed-alert??? I've never seen that before. Wouldn't make fun here in germany :)

  • yeah thats the shit dude i got a 91 ive got it to 210Km/h but no speed alert came on.

  • dealer just told me the Q may be coming out redesigned soon.

  • @foppa123 he lied

  • Nothing on my 2002, taken it up to 230 KPH

  • Got nothing? I don't think it got anywhere near top speed... @ 210 it was still pulling strong, and plenty more revs to go before it hit the 7,250rpm rev limit.

  • suppesedly, top speed is a little over 250kmh, and from what i've seen, that seems about right, with a given amount of room.

  • MY 180SX did the same thing. right Ozzie? lol you should take it up to 240 next time. wait...do you still have the Q?

  • I do still have it.... for now.

  • I owned a 1992 Q45 and man did i kick ass in that car... those infinitis can do 140mph with no problem..

  • A lot of cars are electronically limited (governed) to the highest speed the tires will survive from the factory. EX: Our GMC Jimmy is limited at 100 mph, even though it's got the guts to keep going. Guess instead of actually limiting the speed, Infinity puts in the alarm at 100mph/160kph.

  • it's just telling you, holy fucking shit this Q45 is so fast i never thought the factory settings wouldnt let the car go this fast!!! nice speed

  • is this car from middle east

    or japan or europ

    which year ist 96

  • This car is from Japan

    it's a 1990 Q45

  • i have a Q45 '02 and when i reached 137 on it Miles not KM it mad no noise or anything... maybe you like took or ur belt or opened a door

  • Uh.... no. No alarm for unhooked seat belt, and I doubt I would be dumb enough to open the door at 160km/h

  • tien lé justaten ki le fait pu :p

  • i thought this was normal in all cars, but mine is at 120km/h X(

other cars here are the same, 120-130ish, but i guess i've only ridden in jap cars, not sure if benzed do it too??? can't really recal.

  • My Dad's Toyota Crown had the same thing at 150 and at 200 KMH but instead of a beep it was like a little bell.

  • Thanks, joined NICO. buying a NICO ECU, I wonder if the new ecu will remove the speed alert?? Curious. We might have to put it to the test

  • Hmmm that's very interesting. I'm in the US and drive a Q45, and I'm curious to know if mine beeps also. I did the math, and your 165 Kph is my 100 Mph, that's when it seems to start beeping. It seems to beep faster at your 210Kph (my 130 mph). But i think US cars are limited at 128 Mph, but either way, I must look into this, at least for some laughs. By the way, is it the same beep as when you have the key in and the door open?

  • Yes, it is the same sound.

  • Damn Cuz.... u need sum gas

  • its a speed limit control that is in place in most japanese cars that are made and driven in japan. its common in japan. not sure how to disable it but its not abnormal there.

  • My speed isn't limited at all. It runs an Impul ECU, and clearly goes past the mandatory factory 180km/h setting for a J-spec car

  • lol.. it sounds like a submarine XD

  • LOL

  • haha yeah it does

  • lol sounds like a heart beat the fast it goes the heart beat faster untill heart attack lol

  • The European version of the 300zx also does this.

  • Thanks for the feedback!

  • Maybe its alarm for your revs being to high. Does it get near the red when your at that speed?

  • No, over 160, the accelerator is released, dropping the revs to around 1,500rpm while coasting, but the alarm still rings. Redline is at 7,200rpm in the infiniti, and I wasn't getting close to that at any stage.

  • sounds like when you turn the key to the on position

  • Yeah, I agree... but it's strange that it rings faster the quicker you go.
