  • man i put meal worms and crickets in my baby emps face and he backs up and acts like a straight pussy, y?? if theyre not hungry shouldnt they atleast be territorial??

  • @emorywomack buy Androctonus australis, he aint a pussy :)

  • @emorywomack

He is scared because hes having something randomly shoved in his face..i wouldnt call him a pussy unless you want something to attack you to show they arent....i mean is that what you are expecting from him? and animals are not territorial against things like a cricket, it's obviously not competition to them, its either a pest if they arent hungry, or food if they are. nothing to be worried about to them, they arent stupid.

  • Go do research (Online) on how to take care of a scorpion befour u die in your sleep. Just to let you know Research was the (Key) word in the 1st sentence dumb ass!

  • Please do not just feed it pet shop crickets. These lack virtually any real nutrition. Even gut loading them is not doing much. The best food can be had free, it's in your backyard. Cicadas, grasshoppers, June Bugs, Black Crickets, large moths, and caterpillars all work great. During winter I will feed mine Lubbers, which is a pretty large meal. Mine tends to be lass active when the weather gets colder. I have mine in a 20 ga with 4 good hiding spots.

  • @jschultzVII and christ, as for you, my little farm is MADE UP of crickets that have grown from nothing but pet shop crickets. you have to start somewhere. pet shop crickets are the only ones you can guaruntee are free of disease and pesticide that can hurt your pet! you don't know where the fuck these other crickets have been when you catch them in the wild! i started with 20 pet shop crickets and a large transparent rubbermade container with dividers and holes i drilled in the top for air.

  • @jschultzVII you don't know where ANY of these insects have been. you can't guaruntee your happy little cicada didn't just come from a dutch elm that was sprayed for caterpillars, or the grasshopper you found isn't from the farm on the outskirts of town that just got misted for saw-fly larva, or that little caterpillar in your garden doesn't secrete something toxic that can make your scorpion sick. breed your fucking bugs.

  • @jschultzVII generation by generation they'll accumulate in nutritional value if you make sure they eat enough vitamin rich food, and dont just feed them mouse food like pet stores do. give them shit like fruit, grains, veggies, and fatten them up to hell. let them do each other for a week, then sift the bottom of that quadrant, move the adults out of it and put the eggs in potting soil, warming it. the adults are now nothing but feed. and a new generation is about to hatch. feed them good.

  • @jschultzVII My emperor has a 60 with a 2-teir hiding zone made of 2 clay pots, 1 on its side semi-buried, 1 strait up with a plant growing out of it (hole in the bottom so he can hide in the roots of the plant). cement buddha with a hole in the bottom, dirt cave held up by an empty coconut, half coconut on teir 2, 5 flat large rocks to slip under, and a ceramic pot bottom for a water dish that is so shallow drowning is impossible. heat pad is under a brick in the bottom.

  • i hope the scorpion i get isnt a female

  • @nakamuraabe WHY? Females are beautiful. They grow larger, they're worth more, they're far more predictable, and the maintenence is well worth it. If you can find somebody with a confirmed male, baby scorpions are a very exciting way to spend some time. If you're lucky enough to see them born, it's crazy. Then just seeing the way a mother behaves towards them is really quite miraculous and just proves bugs aren't stupid invertebrates who can't feel, they can love and mother. Awesome.

  • i have an emp he is pretty cool he lets me hold him sometimes and sometimes

    he trys to sting

  • Side Notes: Plantation Soil is a brown absorbant substrate. But I can't see a tarantula enthusiast not knowing that.. I'd reccomend putting a rock in the water dish to prevent the insect from drowning but in your case she's already so damn huge I see little chance of that happening. Choices for things to hide under include things like large flat rocks, hollowed stumps, a broken plant pot. If you want to have some fun put in a U.V. Light that you can turn on and off and watch her glow!

  • @fantabulousK UV lights are very harmful to them! its only ok for a minute and NOT regularly. They do not like any light and make sure any heating lamp you get for them (which they dont need, just a heat pad on the side of the tank) DOES NOT contain UVA or UVB rays. Also regular lights are stressful for them since they like dark places. (this was half a response to fantablousk about UV rays and half advice to mjellyg)

  • @LarissaLurid Well of course its not a light for leaving on all the time. It's just a fun thing because the bacteria under the shell makes them glow in the dark under those lamps. Good lord. like shining headlights at a deer and looking at how they dont move.

  • @fantabulousK yea just the way you said it might be mistaken for people leaving it on all the time because it looks cool, like i said its ok for a minute but i didnt want people thinking that it was something to leave on all the time like you could with a red infrared bulb or something like that. dont worry im not trying to be mean lol

  • One word; tank. Bigger than what you have; about 10-20 gallons, no different than you'd give your tarantulas. Fill with plantation soil, mist once daily. Give her something to hide under (standard with scorpions I'm sure you know) and a water dish.. Her venom is only about as potent as a yellow jacket so you're looking at pain for 1-2 hours and redness in a 7-10 cm radius for up to 3 days unless you're allergic, in which case you're looking at a large rash, anaphylactic shock or even death.

  • it looks plastic..

  • Get a larger tank, a pair of thick gloves and the usual stuff like a warming light and artificial terrain but for goodnessake DO NOT piss the fucking thing off that is one mean beastie

  • Get

    A) a bigger tank

    B) a black light (Scorpions glow under blackk lights)

  • I think that scorpion might be stressed out.

  • his venom is not deadliest for a human

  • that kind of scorpions are not poisonous... well, they are, put are not dangerous to people

  • try to get it ppl wild animals cant be pets ............. if it happeneds its rare compare to most , also u will find it depressed and boring ..... some animals born be to free ( wild animals mostly )..... unlike dogs and cats etc that always looking for master

  • @DefiDiboO

i have six and there nice pets

  • @DefiDiboO actualy cave man an wemon domesticated wolves an thts were u get dogs the DNA of a wolf an dog are so close domestication is wht most scientist beleave happened

  • @crater612 Im Arabian and some rich people have lions there , yes lions as pets in gardens , My point was not bout domestication , just the idea of putting wild animal in cage , yea they dont attack you but in fact from there actions they are broke , And u know thats not how lions suppose to look like . its just big cat , Well my idea kinda away from this taming stuff , its more to be biological , just nvm bout me lol

  • @DefiDiboO no my reply wasnt to u sry for the confusion i was repling to defidibo

  • It is called Tupperware dumb@ss

  • @johnygoat We get the point...

  • just give it lots of food and don't get near it ( and AKA i am scared of bugs)

  • heyy guys i have a lot of baby eperor scorpio and im sellin them hit me uppif u whant one or something:) 1408-396-5430 lateee

oo and ther 2 weeks old

  • Ok heres something you need to know, Emperer scorpions are very docile, just dont TRY to piss it off, you can handle them easily, their toxin is very minor and only results in a small numbing sensation and comparable to a bee sting or less of that of a bee sting depening on your resistance... keep them in a huge tank or medium size one, as it is known they use their arms to unweave simple wire roof cages etc

  • shes very beautiful

  • It's not an adult it's telson's yellow when they're adults it's a maroon/reddish colour.

  • the bigger the claws the lees venom it has

  • 1 scrop can kill 1 bee in 1 hit. thay can kill a scorp with anothr scorp but it will do it in a tertorall-fret despay thas all I know im using my sis's acont im a boy and i love snaks

  • but will it blend?

  • @oliviermyre YES! it chops, dices, blends, tenderizes, and even adds its own secret ingredient!

  • here is the overall i know as long as u feed it crickets, smaller insects, small clean mice ur scorpion will stay healthy and strong. Also make sure that u dont hold it during mating season u shouldnt be poked or pinched. And dont piss it off ,when its pissed off it becomes very territorial and aggressive.make sure that its cage has tall walls and alot of room.so thats the overall things u need to know

  • poor scorpion.. get a fucking bigger tank for it and some water and bomull in water

  • Dude you poking her is just pissing her off and scaring her

  • if you still have that thing, when i use to hold my i woul gently put my fingers into the soil and scoot him onto the palm then pick him out the more you bring them out the better they get with it

  • Also don't be such a Fcuking retard and poke it with what looks like a bent hanger, how'd you like it if a big steroid junkie pushed you around with a cane. That's the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Don't be afraid to handle it, it's good for they're temperament, just make sure to pick it up by it's stinger, an don't touch behind they're heads otherwise they could get spooked an strike.

  • Emperor scorpions should not be kept in plastic boxes, they should always be kept in glass terrariums... They need either Pete moss as a substrate or plantation soil. As far as temperature they should be kept between 70F an 80F degrees, with 60% to 75% humidity. The substrate should always be kept damp to wet. Never use a backlight, just either a blue day glow heat bulb, or red heat light, no greater than 100watts depending on terrarium size. It needs a hide in order to feel secure an safe..

  • if this guy stings you u get a littel red in that place..if a scorpion the size of this guys claw..you die in a few seconds...

  • hey ill give you some basic cares. :)

tempature should be at least 80

keep it away from turantulas if you ever get one

and last of all, get them like at least a cage over one foot(for better attide for the scorpion)

  • Hint hint: don't put in on your eye and don't hit it with a metal bat (use a wooden one)

  • hi, i really need to know how do i tell if it`s a boy or a girl? thanks.

  • get a large citter cage its $17 or a tube 14Qt that what i have my female in keep cage moist and water bowl big enough for it to climb in feed 1 or 2 crikets a week and DO NOT USE TAP WATER CAN KILL SCORPION use bottled water mist cage down once a week the temp should be 70- 80 degrees* dont be afraid of stinger it used ass last stand its as bad as a bee sting

  • @STKGHOSTshadow ive been using tap watter for my emp, and hes fine!

  • aww thats a great gift. just need a better enclosure though so go for something like a critter keeper or something.

  • you got to pick it up by the back of the tail not the stinger but the shell tail it wont hurt them then just set it down there not poisnious so if they sting you it just a little pric

  • ok well keep the tank around 70 or 80 degrees keep the tank most

spray it down like once a week keep a water bowl in it

feed it dont use cedar chips that will kill it the best thing to use is coco nut husk and put a piece of cork bark so she can get under it and yeah dont poke at it that just makes it meaner and females are a little meaner that males from wat i found out with mine but they are easy to take care of

  • are they poisonous? why would someone want that as a pet?

  • It was a gift u fag

  • You should find out info about the animal BEFORE you get it. Its cruel to the animal otherwise.

  • they dont have much venom it's less then a bee sting. they r absolutely harmless and docile. just pick it up it's not gnna hurt you. even if it does sting you it will only feel like a lil pin prick. most of the time they are just trin to intimidate you and wont even puncture the skin. i've only been handling them for a lil over a year at my job. i'm pretty much the only one there that will handle them without freaking out. i've been stung by them many times most of the times purposely.

  • CLASH OF THE TITANS

  • i love to piss off my scorpion

  • she likes it wen u stab her with a 6.5inch

  • Don't poke her, it bothers her

  • dude i had scorpions i have gotten stung many times an if you dont want to pick it up dont lol its a dam bus i hate ppl that make big deals about sahit like that

  • anyone that have a scorpion as a pet must have some sort of a mental disorder.

    I'll say

  • @idotakeliberty not really theyre gd pets

  • @idotakeliberty why? cause everyone else is to pussy to have one.

  • Yall chill out he doesnt know if that thing is going to strike.

  • @CodBlackOps971 If It Strikes? It's The Least Deadly Scorpion In The World, Look At The Pincers.

  • keep it in a hot tropical climate .. use a heat rock or heat pad...... i have had my male emperor scorpion for 2 years now ...

  • flamers, stfu. at least he cared enough to post a vid to ask for help. jesus.

anyways, be careful of live feed. emperors can handle larger prey than crickets, it's just best to be cautious with anything that can fight back per se. A bigger tank is needed, depending on where you live and how cold it gets, a heating pad. other than that, dealing with scorpions isnt too hard. just dont do anything stupid like put it with your tarantulas or stick your finger in it's sting range. best of luck.

  • Take your scorpion and put it in your tarantulas tank and that way he'd have a bigger tank and you wouldn't have to feed it for months becuz he has some tarantulas to feed on and then all of your tarantulas will be gone becuz your scorpion ate them all and you would only have your scorpion so then you would turn in to a scorpion person and you could house them and breed them and have babies then sell them and make money instead of poking it all day like a fat lazy person who eats mcdonalds!

  • nice scorpioin i have two Emperor Scorpions also known as Flat rock scorpions a male and a female they had 15 babies i gave some away i have 9 babies left still they're very hardy animals but they can over eat so don't feed it too much make sure water is availible at all times cause they like to soak the bottom of their boddies spray the tank with water to keep it humid and have at least 2 hidding places for it, ooo they will rarely use their tails that's strickly for defense only

  • nice scorpioin i have two Emperor Scorpions also known as Flat rock scorpions a male and a female they had 15 babies i gave some away i have 9 babies left still they're very hardy animals but they can over eat so don't feed it too much make sure water is availible at all times cause they like to soak the bottom of their boddies spray the tank with water to keep it humid and have at least 2 hidding places for it

  • If you're selling, I'm buying.

  • thats 1 fat scorpion

  • It's a shiny Scorpion!

    -backround music-

    gotta catch em all pokemon!

  • ooooooooh shiny........

  • Here's some advice: PICK THE DANG THING UP AND QUIT POKING IT!...GET A BIGGER TANK THAN JUST A FREAKING TUB A WEAR THAT YOU FOUND IN THE KITCHEN! AND ALSO...(not advice) but if you're that afraid of the thing...i mean you're poking it with a stick and not even your finger like you're afraid it's gonna sting you...so anyway if you're that afraid of it then give it to a person who cares for scorpions instead of you who puts it in a tub a wear and pokes it all day and puts it on Youtube!

  • @trevercapito12

    someones on their period

  • @trevercapito12

Why would you let something that could sting you and potentially give you an allergic reaction, somewhere big where it's hard to catch it? Maybe you should stop some animal rights vigilantie, because you suck at it, seeing as how you probably know jack about scorpions yourself.

That considered, I think the uploader should ask for advice somewhere else then youtube if you're actually serious about keeping things like this scorpion.

  • @Andreazor VERY Few People Are Allergic To Emperors, They Are The Least Deadly In The World.

  • @Andreazor dude its as bad as a bed sting unless u allergic to bees ur fine a fever pain and thats it 2 or 3 days ive bee stung 10 times not in a row but total im fine and mines bigger than that one

  • @trevercapit12 emperor Scorpion can live in small tubs like that so know what your talking about before you say anything. I'm sorry i don't mean any thing about so don't take it in the wrong way

  • @trevercapito12 hey he just got he dont know how to take care of it yet be nice

  • @trevercapito12 arent they poisionous

  • @Frankntooth Yes but only like a bee sting.

  • @trevercapito12 Its a feeding tank idiot

  • @Klaus1386 Did he say that you retard? No! Watch a freaking video before you call the highest rated comment an idiot!

  • @trevercapito12 He just got it you idiot! He has never had a scorpion before and it was given as a gift so he had no idea it was coming or he would've researched it!

  • @zippybomb Nooooooo! Really? I had no idea that he got it as a gift! In fact, I just posted that comment because I didn't even watch this video! This retard has to research it BEFORE he gets it you idiot. I know he got it as a gift but he at least needs to research on it before he puts a video on Youtube of it in a tubawear tank poking it the whole time.

  • @trevercapito12 GREAT ADVISE -except for the picking it up part :)

  • @5954ldydi i duno i never had any trouble picking mine up i handle Darth Sidius every day... i wouldnt even call it handling really he climbs onto my arm and just chillaxes there while i watch movies. he really doesnt give a shit. as far as arachnids go, these and rose hair tarantulas are about the friendliest it gets.

  • Uhh I have uhh not that much experience handling or dealing with these animals. . .

    *Poke* *Poke*

  • damn, I thougth it was a toye

  • females are more potent than males. you can tell the sex by the little fins underneath them, small female , big male . . perfer a forest bedding . make a hide .... keep it moist . you dont have to mist them if you keep the humidity up . i have a male and female together in a 100 gal. tank and get along fine just limit handleing them cuz it stresses them out and so does a black light . other than that if it starts to drag its tail then its a fatass . and dont feed so much .

  • Wow, I can see why it was named "Emperor" scorpion.

  • That is a beautiful animal, look how shiny it is! :3

  • my scoprion suicided he stung himself T_T

  • @mugurism Lol..:D

  • @mugurism sad

  • @mugurism How saaaad! D':

  • @mugurism Seriously?

  • @mugurism r u serious

  • @mugurism lol the cubs one THE CUBS ONE! PARTYY!damn, i stung myself! X>

  • @mugurism Well, scorpions do that when they are irritated, you confused him.

  • @mugurism Your tank was to hot

  • @mugurism he couldnt suicide , scorpions often sting them but they wont kill themselfs with their own sting ;)

  • @mugurism damn dude no children for u lol

  • @mugurism they don't commit suicide, they get dehydrated, which causes their exo skeleton to contract, pulling their tail down, into the back, face.

  • @mugurism that mean it was too hot in the cage

  • @mugurism That's sad, i felts so sorry for your scorpion. Ive heared that Emperor Scorpions got gestation periods that lasts several months. Longer than that of whales. SICK!! But very interesting :D

  • Well I don't know that much about Emperor scorpions but I know their pincers can cut through metal and their venom is as bad as a bee's.

  • @MultiIverson3 lol, no they cant cut through metal, but they can break a pencil

  • i saw a scorpion accedently sting itself and it fucking died and i bought it as a pet then it killed itself

  • Coolest scorpian i have ever seen i need one of these lol :D

  • I need one of these >_<

  • shawty i can take you dare

  • they have a minor sting no big danger but they need to be handeled carfully and they are NOT aggressive

  • It looks like a bronze scuplture

  • emperor scorpions love little hideout were they can catch up on some beauty sleep lol (but they rele do need some where to hide)

  • i think you should put it in a fight against bear grylls

  • @MrUkpaintball hed eat it.....

  • i had one just like this!! i shined ultraviolet light o it (blue flash light) and the scorpion glowed bright yellow :o

  • sprinkle water on the dirt get a bigger cage and emperor scorpions are only as venomous as a bee so if your alergic to bees just be careful and feed it like 1 to 2 crickets a week and get a water thing and fill it to about an inch and put it in a bigger cage when you get one so it wont over heat just spray the dirt when it is kinda dry

  • Excuse my spelling

#1 the toxins in a scorpion stinger are nerotoxic meaning the affect the nervous system to kill or paralize their prey (Emperor Scorpions are not harmful to humans just hurts)

#2 buy the right mulch the wrong kind can kill his ass such as Cedar i think (not 100% sure) and other kinds

#3 they live a few years from what ive heard and need to eat 1 or twice atleast every 1-2 days

#4 if it dies you fucked up somwere and just lost 4-5 dollars

  • @Stokes008 feed 1-2 times a week. anf they live to 8-9 years if kept well.

  • ahaha ya idiot KILL IT!!!!!! x

  • there pissy

  • you you need help i know a lot about scorpion death stalker scorpions too so if you need help i will help you.

  • by the way you dont need a bigger tank. they dont move around that much...and a black light is something you should look into getting..

  • don't try to breed them i am a scorpion breeder if u do when there done remove the male!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!U HAVE TO OR THE BABYS WILL DIE

  • I recently bought one at Repticon for only 6$, he looks bluish like the one you have and is pretty calm!

  • why are some emperor scorpions a strange green metallic like colour?

  • remember me dood myn got so much biger but muyn is a mail o ya get aq non heating black light if you dont hav one

  • bigger tank

  • you should get a bigger tank :/

  • here is a tip. those scorpions hide lot's under bark or anything and if you have a black light (ultraviolet light) they should glow in the dark.

  • now thats a kool looking bug

  • I am looking into buying one.. my mom finaly said i can have one.. i made $70.. and i want to find a store that sell's Black emperor Scorpions, I live in Maricopa AZ(Arizona).. Any Help?

  • @Gir62 uh i was at wildside pets in mesa and they have scorpions there so you should check it out i know they still have scorpions because i go there often check it out

  • @Gir62 i knowm that a lot of petcos and some petsmarts around you have them also

  • i get scared of these animals i get the chills i cant even stand a freaking little coackraoch

  • seeying the date you posted your video I hope this still helps... first females have always been larger than males on the body size however pinchers are bigger on the male... first you should feed crickets 2-4 crickets a week depends... Do not expect her to stop after 4 an emperor scorpion will keep on eating even to get themselves sick :S... use some coconut residue for the grounding... it can be found anywhere in a pet store... and try to pick it up alot if not it will become agresive. havefun

  • i am thinking of buying one but i prefer desert scorpions i think they are more cool and beautiful

  • if you need help ask me. well they eat meal worms super worms termites cockroaches and crickets. he needs more room.the have to be at 70 threw 85 degrees.buy some coco bark and make a little under ground hideout because they like to have a hidding spot.pick them up by the stinger.and spray his home with water 8 times a day thats all now bye hope he is safe.

  • @godzilla1133 also you need a water bowl because they need some water

  • @godzilla1133 you have aa very nice comment

  • @amydehaan1 thank you godzilla1133

  • Oh wow, she's so pretty.

  • fantastic bud... ive got sipders but i would assume same things appy... bigger tank, place to hide and a small verry shallow dish for water or a sponge/cotton wool ball soaked in water

  • hey i have 2 of thoes guys and they are pretty worth keeping you dont have to feed them much or worry about lighting and heating, also look wicked under a black light im sure you know that tho deff keep it, great thing to bring out when you have people over and drinkin they are pretty friendly as long as you handle them correctly

  • 1: Get him a bigger place for live.

2:Give him a lot of food.

3: make him a small cave like thing or make a hole for her.

  • My advice to you if you're handling it, be as cool and calm as you can be, if they don't feel threatened then they won't get agressive, ih yeah and if you want to pick her up, try to pick her up from behind very slowly.

  • What if it grabs your finger and stings it? :P

  • i just got a 3 month old scopion n its tiny its about same size az ur lil finger nail lol his so cool :)

  • Treat her with respect or feel the wrath of the stinger!

  • o by the way fead it mice if you think it is that big and post the size

  • the last thing thay want to do is to sting you so just pick it up dont worry i breed them

  • I have 2 that I handle Reguraly, they didn't like each other at first, I had to pull them apart but after a while they will just chill on each other. I put a small Cup Of water in the tank and the bigger scorpo is just semerged in water, I think he is sleeping.

  • Oh shit at first i thought it was a toy then it moved wow that's creepy i would kill the thing

  • stop poking her, man

  • man i thought she was plastic

    XD

  • i have one about five inchs long they can pretty much cut your freakin finger open with their pinchers.other than that she's pretty neat she looks heathy by her size they like alot of humdity not alot love heat about 70 to 80 F very aggressive if provoked alot if you can handle her thats great most dont depending on if they were held at younger age if you got any more questions let me know..
