    Congratulations on posting this song

    grateful

  • very nice, first time hearing this lay out

  • @Ziyahd31 - Pamela Williams is the sax player.

  • who is pamela williams?

  • @ziyahd31 A saxophonist

  • Lady T's voice was the BEST of the BEST! Phenomenal singer. I will always have her in my heart as my favorite singer of all times. Love You Lady T!!

  • now, this is a masterpiece!!!!

  • my god what a collaberation.........breath taking......thank you for posting

  • Bueno, no, buenísimo

    ¡Qué voces!

    Well, no, terrific

    What voices!

  • Superb!

  • the best music is the music back in thhe day annd this song is tooo great

  • R.I.P. Teena Marie xx

  • how many of you knew that these three ever did a song togather tina and pattie we all have a secret garden or at least we did

  • The concept of 4 women singing the all male classic (and having Pamela Williams blow the sax in place of Barry White's deep baritone voice) was all Teena Marie's idea. She deserves credit for this version of the song rather u like her voice on it or not. But in my opinion, her voice was tailot made for it. It's sexy, sulty, and seductive, while Patti's was powerful and commanding. Great version. All of them were xcellent. RIP Teena, u were a musical pioneer! -DOGG

  • @NPhillydogg67 Everyone did a great job on this. I have both songs on my ipod back to back. TM did an upstanding job. the others were so great. I never noticed until now about the sax part but that was xcellently done. I love this song. I can't tell enough about the truth to it. I just can't say enough other than I love it and it's a true classic. The vocals and the sax awesome awesome awesome.

  • @psoemetry thanks for recognizing Teena's input. While I also love the original, and used o play it endlessly when it first came out all those years ago, lol, when I'm in the mood to hear it now, I play THIS version the most. I only wish they had gotten another sellar singer to open the song (not that Pat Peterson did bad, its just no one knows who she is), and that they had took the time to do a hot video, even if it was just them in the studio. I love Teena, and play her music daily. RIP LadyT

  • Teena added a special something to every recording she did. RIP

  • @tigner1 yes she did...I truly miss her!

  • @tigner1 I noticed you gave ,much derserved, credit to Pattie, Pamela, and Teena, but none to the 3rd lead vocalist (Pat Patterson). Also, Analisa Ripke singing background vocals with Pattie. I only mention it because this is a very well done production by all women.

  • i have three versions of this track ,,all amazing

  • Go Patti

  • go Pattie!!

  • This is the shit. I was wondering when it would get its just dues.

  • ~ AWESOME ~ THANK YOU :)

  • I HAVE NEVER HEARD THIS VERSION ONLY THE ORIGINAL BUT I LOVE IT!!!! THE LADIES REPRESENTED!

  • Teena Marie has the best voice...

  • Yeah!!...laying there in a heartshaped romantic bed with lots of pillows and your angel beside you, both looking up to the mirrored ceiling, hhmm hhmm Hhhmmmmmmmm YouSaaaaaahhhh. Heard this tune today by " Pamela Williams,Patti Labelle & Teena Marie-Secret Garden " on MotionFM.com(what a station) listen also to Quincy Jones - The Secret Garden (Stephen Rigmaiden Mix) here on YT.

  • All the vocalists are great, but Teena just has something about her vocals that hit you right in the gut...man oh man...

  • PATTIE LABELLE IZ A EFFING BEAST ughhh she gave me chills son

  • This is the version that they should have played on the radio. I like this version so much more. This is nothing but greatness, from the legendary singers to the remarkable saxaphonist....

  • these ladies rocked it out! it would have been nice for Barry to just show up with that super sexy bass...

  • @u2jelus So he could come across as a pimp?! His voice mixed in this version would had hurt softer flow...Show you right! :)

  • honestly i dont like this version at all.

  • nice remake

  • Wow!! I had no idea that this even existed!!!! I remember the guys version from Quincy's big album in the early 90s, but that's it!!!! Thanks so much for posting. I found it a real challenge to find the remake of the KARYN WHITE song "Superwoman" which was remade on Gladys Knight's early 90s album featuring Dionne Warwicke and I forget who else.

  • sang patti oooh girl I didn't know u did sexy..voice on here is phenomenal.

  • Teena stood out! 5*s!

  • @j1455p patti is one of my favorite vocalists... but teena killed this one... patti is huge one this... but teena really did it up... this is my fav version of the song btw... heard it on the car radio when it first came out....but didn't hear the artists name... spent a week trying to find out....

  • @GazelleOnTheFly

    You're absolutely right!!!

    [GLEN FROM COMPTON]

  • It is actually Chaka Khan singing first, then Patti Labelle then Teena Marie singing last. Pamela Williams is the one playing the saxophone.

  • Her voice is just divine !

  • these songs are soo soothing love them

    love you patti

  • The first lady sounds like Chaka.

  • sing it ladies! teena and dem rocked that shit!!!!!!

  • i love this song

  • This Pamela Williams is the bomb. I've never heard of her before until a few days ago while watching the cable jazz music station. It's a shame I'm finding out now who she is. Converted Fan!! Freking Awesome!!

  • Teena blows Patti right out of the water. Teena sings, Patti wails.

  • Yall should lookup Howard Hewitt's version. He sang the whole song alone, and it's poppin'.

  • who did it i am after the lovers version if u can help

  • Originally it was done by Quincy Jones with singers James Ingram, Al B Sure, El Debarge, and Barry White. It's a Quincy Jones production.

  • They are fantastic, but my girl, Teena.

  • wonderful rendition- love it- love the three divas and the sax is amazing

  • omg

    i love this version

    it is awesome

  • OMG I didn't even know they had a ladies version! And the 1st one was my favorite song, i still listen to it. This is sooooo good too!!! I love it.

  • Pamela is BLOWING the heck out of that saxophone.

  • Thanks...this is just too nice.

  • I just happened to stumble across this song on another site. WOW!!! When did this come out? Thanks for the post. Do yo'thang, Soul Child, you baaadddd! *tips hat*

  • I like this one better than the one by Quincy, with Barry White and others. Pamela blows a mean sax. I have one of her cds

  • this is one of my favs I love it they all get down

  • Teena Marie is awesome!!!!!!!!

  • A dream come true my two favorite ladies and Pamela blowin the hell outta that sax! I never thought anyone would even think of re-doing the secret garden after the fellas tore it up like that, but the ladies do the damn thing too!

  • @bigdscott YES indeed!

  • Where have I been? This is one bad ass song. Love it! The sax is awesome.

  • All those ladies are simply amazing their voices are so oustanding

  • teena, thats my girl. it doesnt matter who she duets with, she always stands out.

  • Why this song didn't do better than it did should crime! Tennas voice were the better of the three! Am I the only one who thinks so?

  • girl play the hell out of that sax..these are the most talented ladies!

  • She's Teena Marie's saxaphonist.

  • I love this version of this song. I would love to Hear Teena and Patti redo the Barbara and Donna Summer classic Enough is Enough especially, especially the slow part with all of the high notes, they would tear that song up. Don't y'all think?

  • Get all of Pamela's CD's... One hell of a sax player.

  • just pure soul!! Love Patti's voice and way to sing and say every word ... so much passion

  • you know on Regina Belle was not a featured vocalist on the version that appeared on Pam's CD. The vocalists were Patti Labelle, Teena Marie and Pat Peterson...this is from Pamela Williams CD 'Saxtress', 1996..good CD also.

  • Oh ok..i'll change the title

    thank you!

  • It was fine to have her name on there because that is her voice.

  • @DaEnviedOne - You are absolutely Correct! This CD is GREAT!

  • @DaEnviedOne - Thanks! I was going to ask where this is from.
