@cobalt100 screw you. eastwood is a god damn legend in the film making industry, and it would be a shame if he didn't show himself on the screen again.

I stand by my original statement. This movie was made in just 5 weeks and was rushed through without much editing or retakes so it would be eligible for a 2008 Academy Award. Well, the Academy members refused to nominate this film in any category and for good reason. The constant barrage of epithets is very annoying, the acting is inferior, the script suffers from banal, cliches, and there are mistakes in continuity. Eastwood had you in mind when he made this garbage.
@cobalt100 this movie was done in 5 weeks because it had no action like crap movies these days this movie was very good and clint eastwoods second best movie
@delta2ish Amen. Funny I don't even remember any of these other movies. Clint is a living legend, one of the last and it will be a sad day when we lose him. He believes in storylines before any ridiculous CGI effects. I can't even watch most Hollywood movies anymore, cinema is supposed to make you feel emotion and carry you along with the story. When I was a kid movies like Superman the movie (1978) and Star Wars etc.were effects laden but had character development and storylines. Not anymore.

I can't believe that there are so many gullible people out there who actually pay money to see these terrible, easily forgettable movies. They must be mostly composed of High school drop-outs and preteens. No wonder our society is going downhill faster than an Olympic downhill racer.
LIke anything else in life, some are bad and some are good, some are very very good. The good movies are ample each year and worth anyones time to see them. The give valuable lessons of life, like a good book.
he's78 ? really? I was first introduced to eastwood in the movie "unforgiven" which was my favorite movie up until i seen gran torino...his characters are everything i am.
