Brandon, this episode is not from 3/2/79, it's from 8/10/79. The dead giveaway are the pylons on the main game platform that are separated instead of adjoined together. The carpet is also brighter than it was earlier in 1979. In addition, Dick announces on this episode that next week's guests were Lois Nettleton and Nipsey Russell

All those days when you're fishing, having a beer with your friends, taking a nap in the sun, playing a game of softball, making love with your girlfriend, going to a concert, going to dinner with family, reading a good book, lazing in front of the TV, etc.

On those days, celebrities are doing junk like this, interviews on radio/tv, rehearsing music/dance numbers, going to affiliate conventions, opening stores for sponsors, etc.
