@wanderingnomad101 Chameleon Robes are also available in the shops in Chapter 3 at some point, so chances are, most players will come across one. In addition, one can acquire a Chameleon Robe in the actual battle itself using the Move-Find Item movement ability (Treasure Hunter).

@TheKupoQueen Parasite Eve huh? I've never played it but I have heard of it and the second one as well. I'm not sure as of now if I would even want to play it, but I may check it out at least since you mentioned it.

i used a ninja with rend speed and rend power(i attacked first). that way it did 2x the damage, and rending. i got his lighting stab down to about 25 damage.

i also had the abilities critical HP recover, and equip heavy armor so every time he got me within 80 damage or so of dieing, id get all my HP back.

@MasterPx Part 1 of 2... I believe i mention healing in the second part... or the description. Auto-potion, Regenerator, Move-HP UP (Lifefont). Are all useful depending on how much damage you incur from Wiegraf per turn.

Nice Flame shield strategy! does it work better if using fire rod?

@PumpkingSmasher Well, it's either the Fire rod or the Black robe, you only get strengthen per element and it does not stack. I went with the black robe so I had more MP and HP since the Wizard Rod grants +2 MA, The Wizard Robe wasn't quite as appealing. It also works with the Ice Shield and Ice spells, and such, but I like the animations for Fire more unless it's Ice 3+.

I remember during my first run of this game that I was grossly underleveled for this fight. I literally had to keep resetting until either Wiegraf missed one attack, or I got a critical. If the battle went ANY other way it was always a loss (this was before even fighting Belias, mind you). Good times.

oh yes! good times! i remember i was at the point where i had a previous saved data on the first boss i had to resort to playing off of that data and grind. however my 2nd and even playing this boss yesterday i had a blast! this was my strategy this time.

i killed Wiegraf with Ramza as a monk and spam earth shock. (without any stratgie or gamefaq)

Pardon my question but what does the 'Innocent' status do? (I've never played this game, I'll admit at once!)

@Kainmaster Innocent status is treated as though the unit has 00 faith, which means they cannot cast magic or be hit by mostly any magic spell, negative or positive.

Yeah, I find it odd that this occured suddenly out of nowhere when I could originally upload any length I desired. It baffles me, and so I was forced to split this video into two parts...
