@myrmur Two reasons actually. First, the signal generators are all the same and put out a pulse waveform. It is the preset filter that the sound is sent through which gives it the choir sound. Likely it is a bandpass since lots of low end and high end are roller off. Second, analog electronics are subject to many more malfunctions because voltage levels can be higher and the heat may deteriorate vital components. Contact cleaners and replacing capacitors are common remedies for glitiches.

I've just bought a Lambda and I've noticed that the volume of the choir preset it's always much lower than the other presets.
It's the same on yours?
