what was that dvd player looking thing at 5:29? i remember seeing a game like that at biglots. it was basically a dvd player i guess with 4 remotes that are different colors. not sure how it worked. oh yeah lucky getting a box. i know my goodwill will not sell stuff without a price tag. never tied a box but don't know if they would do that.
oh ok. what i remember was called "Game Wave Family Entertainment System" made by zapit.
it's a hybrid DVD player and video game console.
Game Wave is aimed at a more family friendly market: a majority of its games are trivia based or video versions of more traditional games (such as variants of Scrabble and Blackjack). The Gamewave can connect up to 6 controllers (which look like TV remotes) but comes with 4. Each controller has a different colour (yellow, red, blue, green, purple, and orange)
chances are it was is nothing wrong and if something would be the fuseable resistor on the controller board and that is easyish to replace. those things are made good and don't really have much trouble from what i seen. the gdrom could be bad but i haven't seen that happen often. still could have used it for parts.
People in St.Louis are too smart. They never have anything worth buying at any of the Goodwills or thrift stores around here and due to the city being one of the most spread out, garage sales are hard to come by.The best ones with the most loot are usually in the ghetto,The only time I go into some of these areas is at night with my friend, to hit some clubs, who has a license to carry because you do not want to go where some of these are without a weapon.Haha
Yeah, I asked the guy about why they keep the games near the counter or locked up usually now, and he said its because of theft. Even cartridges like NES and genesis get stolen he said. They have no security cameras so the thieves know that and take advantage.
also wanted to say that today i went to my usual goodwill and found a nes boxed game and 2 sega genny boxed games.. but they had no games in them so i took them up with the other stuff i got and said "these don't have games in em" and the girl was all like "oh pssh some people are so rude " and she took them and threw them in her little garbage.. of course I was astonished, I told her I still wanted them and she gave them to me for free :D... the NES box was mint and she almost ruined it LOL
.... omg i was already sweatin thinking she did damage... if she had stomped on it .... omg i'd of had to ran her into a wall on sheer principle alone.
she did say she would need to get her supervisor but then was like "ahh f- it" lol
I'm not sure how long it ever takes to edit as I get too involved, but I guess it usually does take long, just because I record too much stuff all the time when I go out so I end up with all this stuff to cram into a 11min video.
Thanks. I just did that because I always record allot of stuff and dont have anywhere to put them, so I kind of save them up and try to squeeze them in where I can since I dont like uploading real short videos.
I did forget to put in a few things, like a update to the "wet snes box" video.
Loved the editing. Snagging the 32X box was awesome. Would have done the same. About a month ago at my goodwill they had some NES games that I looked through and I noticed some instruction manuals to games that were no longer there. 7 in total. I brought them to the register and told them the story. Ended up getting them for the price of a 99 cent item with tax. Not free but still worth it and couldn't see that stuff being thrown out.
Thanks. I was shocked when I seen the box. I never see boxed stuff here, let alone a 32x. Strange that the system was no where to be found.
I never even knew places like that threw stuff out, they take in other peoples "junk" after all, I thought they would just throw it in a 99cent bin or something. Crazy stuff. They should make a "free items" bin or something.
I wish I still had a number of boxes in my collection. When I was younger I didn't have the full mindset of a collector. Remembering back when I threw out my PS2 Model 1 box and my Game Gear box. I could kick my own ass for that. Young and dumb, lol.
With all the second hand stuff they get its more like third hand when they throw useful stuff out. Rational people like us talking to management, we must seem crazy to them, lol.
For some reasons I kept most of my boxes from around the time of the SNES, but I sold/traded almost everything in for PS1 games. Although I did keep one boxed snes game that I still have today!
Yeah, I wish I kept some of the "broken" systems I had back when I was a kid to. My NES just needed a new connector or cleaning but I threw it out DOH!
Which game was it? I wish I still had all the Tiger handhelds too before I got heavily into console gaming. Must have had 30 or more. I still collect those as well like the Nintendo Watch and Game ones and some other similar handhelds.
A Link to the Past. I just recently took the old sticker off the box. It was so old that the sticker dried up, but it did leave some residue on the box that is rock hard. I think I made a video of that, but never edited it or uploaded it or lost it..i dunno lol.
Awesome. Probably best to leave it the way it is and not risk doing damage on the box.
Have you ever picked up some games on a hot day and forget them in your car when you get home, then when you remember and try getting the stickers off they are all like melted on? Just happened to me a few days ago. Had lunch then took a nap forgetting the stuff in the car, lol. Getting them off left a trail of gooey residue. Managed to get almost all of it off but it took forever.
how do you clean that crap on the mega man x game?

You don't :) Or at least I don't.

$10 for that dreamcast is not bad. i still would have got that even though i have 2 already.
james42519 2 years ago
Yeah, I think it's broken though since it says "as-is" on it, which usually translates as broken or problematic.

LMAO! great ending. Those arcade cabs looked great, too bad you couldn't hook yourself up with one of those, that would be excellent.

I got space for one now to! Although I would only get one if they were dirt cheap.

Great stuff!
I wonder if anyone ever says "no you can't have it", and then throws it in the trash.
Lucky she didn't just do something crazy and stomp on the boxes in the trash to compact them or rip up the nes game hehe.
