Air Pacific vacates all the way up at F usually due to it's regular stand in Pier 2 International. It wouldn't vacate on the high speed exit. Longer taxi.
You were fortunate as not even all airline staff get in the flight deck unless approved by captain whom considers the staffs years of service & position. I can share your experience i have been in many times; each time the experience is such a BUZZ
Great stuff... They should have inflight tours of the cockpit... That would make things so awesome! Who gives a damn about terrorism... it's just a sham! Bring on inflight Freedom!!!
@AndrewSheehy I guess when we travel in this day and age, we need to check our Freedom at the check-in counter, as we are stripped of it :) Can't even take a 20 ml sealed water bottle these days, nor any toothpaste, unless it's a key ring size tube...unless you fly in a private jet!
The approach into Sydney can be quite remarkable. I recall when I travelled there to watch my wife compete on one of the U.S. teams at the Sydney Games. After a long flight from North Carolina to Los Angeles to Sydney, we did a slow turn over the Harbor Bridge and flew right over the Olympic Stadium at twilight with the torch lit up and the stadium full of people. It was a stunning and breathtaking arrival in Australia.
@FSXFS2OO4 9/11 was a fake set up... there is nothing wrong with being in the cockpit... It's quite safe. Now I would be very scared, though, if crackpot George Bush and his cohorts were trying to fly it. :D LoL!
The reverse thrust system provides means of decelerating aircraft during the landing roll, thus reducing landing roll length. Exhaust gases of the centre engine are defected forward and out of the sides of the aft fuselage, and on strut mounted engines gases are defected above and below the engine in a forward direction.
plz could you explain about the plane using its reverse to slow the plane down because im only 11 and dont quite understand yet XD i want to be a pilot for the NAVY
I can't mention for obvious reasons...! I wouldn't want anyone in trouble! Thanks for understanding. That is a very good friendly airline though...Nick
@kahuna689 I know what airline it is, but for your sake I won't tell him what it is. Can you tell me how you got in, cause i'm 13, very interested in aviation and I am flying on a A380 on monday. I know how to get into it on the ground, but I would love to be able to get in for the landing, thanks :)
Sure is mate!It was quite windy as you can see when looking in the horizon, and I am no professional cameraman, good overall quality though we can all agree. Cheers !
Well; if you ever get to go into a 747 cockpit for landing; please send me the recording, and we will see if yours is shakier than mine. This ain't a ride in grand ma's Chevy!
Nice Landing :D
